I ordered some cameras and a nvr from aliexpress and they cancelled my payment and want me to send them pictures of my I.D. and bank statements which seems sketchy to me anyone had problems with this site?

Contact the seller directly and see if they will accept paypal or something similar..Exactly i was like no way would i do that! So now i guess im screwed
Maybe if you split your order up, buy the NVR one day, and then a couple cams the next. Maybe that would be accepted?

I went through exactly the same thing with Ali and walked away from using them. Trying my luck again, I ordered a Hik camera, from China, off of ebay last week Monday. It was delivered today. If you're going the Hikvision route, check out milkisbad on this forum. I originally was going with Dahua but switched to LTS/Hikvision thanks to Ali's absurdity.
All my experience with hikvision has been terrible, culminating in the fact that half their equipment cant send smtp through gmail because they are using such an ancient sub protocol (I have no idea what I'm walking about, but the reality is correct) or some crap of ssl.
I made one other order on Aliexpress. It went through, then when the promised ship time of several weeks expired the seller requested an extension. At that point I totally wrote off Ali. I know it works great for some of you. I'm not willing to put up with the hassles I encountered.
