Version 5.3.3.2 only lists my alerts for the last hour or so. How can I keep them visible for the last 12 hours? Thanks

By "lists my alerts" if you're referring to the camera's timeline view / list of alerts down at the bottom, I suggest you refer to BI's built-in Help, specifically "Recording and Clips" ==>> "Timeline Playback".
There you can learn how to expand the timeline, drag the date and time bar, etc. to your liking.
