Alerts are only snapshots on new comp

I just dedicated a core i5 laptop as my BI server (we'll see if a laptop can handle it, doesn't seem like it can) and I imported all my settings from my desktop to it (the reg file) Everything transferred good (from windows 8.1 64 bit to windows 7 64 bit) but for some reason, alerts aren't showing up on the alerts page and when you go to all page, the what would be alerts are all snapshots only. there are no recordings....

I'm a bit confused... any help?

First thing to check is if all your folder paths are exactly the same as before. It may also help to rebuild the clip database.
