I have an IPC-HDBW5441F. I enabled smart motion detection on it, so every time a human or motor vehicle passes by, it's listed on the BI timeline.
I also have an IVS setup for tripwire. Is it possible to get an alert sent to my phone only when the tripwire is crossed?

Thanks

You really should run only one trigger function - either SMD or IVS.

BI simply receives the ONVIF trigger, so whether it is SMD or IVS, it is all the same for an alerting standpoint.

Depending on your field of view, you would be better off to use BI motion with a longer make time like 1 sec or more that would catch the car and person (but not leaves) for the BI timeline but not alert you and then use the IVS rule as the ONVIF trigger and use that to alert you.

That is what I do and it works flawlessly. Again field of view dependent and YMMV.

Wish there was a way to drop a dollar every time wittaj shares his knowledge.
