Alert if BlueIris isn't working

Interested to hear if anyone has any alerts in place so if something goes wrong with the BlueIris server that you get a notification.

I see it is already possible in BlueIris to notify when a camera has lost signal and when it's reconnected. But what if something happens to BlueIris itself?
I imagine home assistant is probably one way of doing it.

My ‘bi_logfile_wdog.ps1’ utility might be one way…
Configure it to monitor for logfile entries like:
-FilterLevels 2 -FilterObjects “Server”
-FilterMsgs “unexpected shutdown”

There may be additional logfile entry patterns that indicate a server fail.

I use Uptime Kuma to monitor various internal/external services. Very good but some effort to set up. If you have Home Assistant already running then not too bad. Not really worth it for just BI alone but if you have more then take a look.
