Gidday from NZ,
This forum has been amazing, and I've learnt so much scrolling through the seas of information. So thank you all.
I've got a single camera setup for front of house and want to utilise the alarm output on my camera as the NVR doesn't have alarm outputs, only being a reasonably basic model.
The camera is an Empiretch 4K Colour turret and the basic 8 channel NVR with no alarm outputs.
I've got a couple relays that I'll run from the camera alarm output, one standard relay for a strobe and a timed delay relay for siren should the strobe not be enough of a deterrent. Both relays will have 12V power to them from supply on other end to power the external devices.
My question is how in the camera GUI settings via browser do I get the alarm output to power up on activation of the tripwire I've set? Any help would be much appreciated.
If I was to connect the brown alarm output and green ground wire to the low amperage side of relay, should I be able to get it to switch by activating an alarm as a way of testing it?
Cheers
Scott
