Advice on running 2 Blue Iris servers

I'm reaching the 64-camera limit on Blue Iris and need to expand further. I am considering running a 2nd BI server rather than moving to an enterprise solution.

Our current server runs on an Intel i9-10900, 64 GB RAM, with 10 HDDs (ranging from 10 TB to 20 TB each)

The cameras record 24/7, and clips are cut at 24hrs. Direct-to-disk recording is enabled to save on CPU usage.
The cameras are assigned to record to different drives and the oldest clips are then deleted as each drive reaches its storage limit.

If I run 2 BI servers, would it be best to:
  • Have individual storage in each system
  • Have some storage in the server, then move data to a NAS/Storage server once local storage fills
  • Store all recordings directly to a NAS/Storage server. If this is possible.

Could there be issues using 1 Intel and 1 AMD system for the servers?

Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

If the systems are totally independent it makes no difference AMD vs Intel, even if they save to a common NAS storage as long as they have seperate folders on the NAS system no difference, just don't have them save to a common folder on the NAS, that would be asking for trouble!
