Address Reservation for my IP camera's...

Hi, I have 5 cameras connected via ethernet cable to a Hikvision DS-7600 Embedded NVR. On my router, the DS-7600 has its own Address Reservation.

Do I need to add my 5 cameras to the Address Reservation as well? If so, how do I do that? They're not listed in my device list on the router. Since the NVR has its own address reservation, is it necessary to add the cameras?

Assuming you mean the cameras are individually plugged into the NVR's own PoE ports, No.

As stated, if it's a POE NVR and the cams are plugged into the its POE ports then the NVR will assign IP's to the cams that will be on a different subnet from the NVR's LAN port.

FWIW, you can also log into the NVR's webGUI and assign a unique, static IP to its LAN that is outside of the router's DHCP pool. This method is handy when dealing with some ISP-furnished modem/router combos or older routers that do not provide a "IP reservation" feature.
