I was sitting at around 15-18% CPU before I added two cameras (4k at 10fps). Now I'm anywhere around 40-95% and it's all over the place.
I ran through all of the BI CPU optimization stuff from the wiki before when I was around 15% CPU.
I even tried to reapply the known good graphics driver for the 4790 to see if maybe it updated itself even though I disabled the auto updates.

These cameras are laview
lvs-dhptk3682w-28. Which I believe are
Dahua IPC-HDW4831EM-ASE and I applied Andy's firmware from his thread.

Could these cameras over double my CPU usage?

so i didnt have those checked. got it fixed.....with the gui minimized, im at around 32-40%.
with the gui open (6 cams), im 50-80%
If you go to Status > Cameras, what are the totals on the bottom?

My system is an i7 that’s a generation older with 8GB RAM and has 11 cameras. The load below runs at around 20-25% CPU with the console open, but I remote in to my BI box and have the BI refresh rate set low. I’ll have to check the usage when I’m viewing from UI3 on another system because that runs at full FPS.

I have the same exact CPU and memory. I am running 498 MP/sec with 13 cameras at 17% CPU with the gui up and running.

The only major system difference is that I use the INTEL processors quicksync for the BI video processing and an a separate GPU NIVIDA 710 for screen processing.
