I'm thinking of adding another cheap 5MP ONVIF camera to my hodgepodge system but this time I'd like to get one with a built-in mic and audio board.
I'm not expecting good sound quality, just something good enough to indicate that there are people present in a certain restricted area.

- My NVRs have a miniature audio out jack. There is no mention of routing audio out via HDMI. Does that seem normal and likely?
- My Viewsonic 32" 2K monitor has speakers but the only way to get audio in is via HDMI or DisplayPort. So am I stuck with getting a pair of amplified cheapo PC speakers?
