Added more light, flying squirrels are back.

I added an illuminator and sped up the shutter speed.. the squirrels were out last night/this morning.

My favorite little critters here. That looks great. About as well as you'll ever capture them in motion. Which is near always. What shutter speed are you running?

Yeah, I knew it must be pretty fast. I tried to get them last year on my Color4K-X but they're too fast for that without stadium lighting. Need to get another cam and illuminator pointed up in the tree where they live that I can set up better. I did happen to catch one on my LPR cam that's running 1/1000 but was two feet from the cam and the IR blast just made it a silhouette.

these are only a few feet from the camera. I use Shotcut to edit. the beginnings are full speed, then I slow down to 1/10th speed.

Mine was probably closer now that I look again. Not really the purpose for that cam. Just happened to hop by there.

That's funny, sometimes a possum will walk down the fence and completely block out the camera.. I tend to jump out of my seat.
