I had 3 IPCs connected to Dahua 8 port NVR:

The connected IPCs:
1. 5442T-ZE
2. 2431T
3. 3241T-ZAS
I've added a new IPC - 5442T-ZE, so after the latest install I have:
1. 5442T-ZE
2. 2431T
3. 3241T-ZAS
4. 5442T-ZE
Each IPC is connected with its own cat5e cable directly to the NVR.
After installing the latest camera (#4) other camera (#3) disappeared - no video output.
The IPCs/NVR don't have internet access (have their own VLAN).
This is what i'm seeing in the NVR:

Seems like 3241T-ZAS is detected but cannot be added automatically.
This is what I tried and didn't work:
1. reboot the NVR
2. change NVR port for the Ethernet cable of IPC #3
Any idea what I can do?
The 3241T-ZAS was installed a few months ago, so I have no clue what can cause this.

What happens if you unplug the new camera? Do you get the old one back?
What does the second pic look like when you plug the "lost" camera back to where it was?
What surprises me is that it is using a different port and protocol. Was it set up like that?
I tried a 'new' cam here on my NVR(non POE), and it shows the regular port and private protocol in the upper window right away.

Can you reach the problematic cam with a web browser somehow?

You have not yet pressed 'add' to see what happens?

Alternative:
Wait for someone with a clue. ;)

Will try this, tomorrow.
I feel like Dahua is not best choice when considering reliability.
I know these are not consumer grade hardware, but still, no valuable info in the log of the NVR.
Everyone adcise against updates, since they may introduce bugs.
TL;DR: Dahua software/POE quality is not what I expected. Though I don't see alternatives.

They're very reliable. Not sure what you mean?
You dont have to use the built in PoE ports if you dont want to, though they work fine. You can instead use an external switch if you'd like.

Im running far more than that on a couple of 4208's so I dont think its a bandwidth issue. They are installed outside in Florida heat in a NEMA box since 2017 and I've updated firmware using the correct firmware multiple times without issue.

Its best not to use the "Add" button if you are using Dahua cameras and the NVR PoE ports. If you plug it in and wait and hit refresh on the bottom pane, it should natively move there with the correct ports info unless you change it on the camera. I would do a factory reset on the 3241T-ZAS, plug it in, and wait, It should add automatically.

Something looks odd as the top pane, which is simply a search pane, has different ports for the same cameras below in the Bottom pane, which is whats important.

Yes the logs suck.

Will try to do a reset, I was too cheap to buy a POE injector or a POE switch.
I will have to use a ladder (and secure it properly) to get to the reset button :banghead:.

Yeah I only say that as its likely to be much faster than diagnosing the exact chain of events that led to it doing that. Something networking doesn't sound right.

Like I said I have plenty of PoE NVRs that work fine under more severe loads, some glitch somewhere...

I've both this POE injector, tried to connect directly to the IPC.
I've used 12V 2A power supply in the power in connector and connected the data only to my computer.
The cable run to the IPC is ~65 feet.
What am I doing wrong?
I also bought a POE spliter if this helps anyhow (maybe connect to the NVR to get more volt).

Where's the other half of the device you have in the image?

The one you posted is an image of the end that connects to the 12VDC wall wart and plugs into your LAN or PC's Ethernet port; there's another half that has a male 12VDC plug for the camera and the RJ-45 for data to the camera's female RJ-45 Ethernet jack.

Complete speculation on my part.
I make sure 192.168.1.108 is available before adding a Dahua - they default to that IP.
If you left a previous one using that IP, then you'll need to change it and then add the new one (and then change the IP of the new one so the next one will work ...).

Sorry - I am likely very wrong. I just looked at his screen shots and the IPs look ok.
But for those adding IP cameras manually or some other way, my IP recommendation can be helpful.

Have you checked that you changed the IP address on the other camera when you installed it so they're both not on the same default IP? It could be the 1st one is still on the default or has reverted to it.

If you have 2 cameras on the same IP, it won't see one.

I'm not getting any network signal with the POE injector, tried 3 different computers.
Tried 2 power adapter, one 12V 1A and the other 12V 2A.
The NVR (when not using the POE injector) seems to detect the IPC, but cannot reset it, probably the POE injector is not working properly (bought from Aliexpress, garbage quality).
