Suddenly, the NVR cannot find it, stops recording and cannot be seen in real time. In the images you can see what happened before failing.

I have 4 others of the same, connected by POE. They are only 2 years old. Has the camera been damaged? Why that intermittent failure?

Thanks

Are the other 4 cameras showing live video and are recording OK?

What have you checked or tried before posting here?

Make and model nvr ?
Make and model of camera with problems ?
Did you make / terminate the connectors on the cable ? Is it a purchased cable ?
Have you take the camera down and tested it with a short premade cable ?
Did you add a new camera to the nvr recently ?

The entire installation was installed by a security company, the terminals were set up manually. The rest of the cameras work perfectly. I have tried rebooting the NVR. Searching for devices does not appear, so it is not a software problem.

It had been running 24 hours continuously for 2 years, so I was surprised.

It is also not unheard of for one POE port to go bad. I have had that happen to both NVRs and POE switches. In fact Just yesterday with a POE switch! LED IR was on but no image or ability to communicate with the camera, so I plugged it in to a POE injector and have the camera back.

Get a POE injector or a POE switch and see if the camera fires up.

It is directly connected to the NVR. I can connect it to another free port and test. How can I tell which one is on the back of the NVR?

I have tried changing the POE cable to another input on the NVR, it still doesn't work.
