5442 s3 Smart IR Firmware Thoughts?

I have some 5442 s3 and seen Andy posted about the new firmware update for smart IR. My cameras are in the front of the house so I can see the advantage of smart IR. I was just wondering for the ones that have already updated their firmware, was it a noticeable difference? Thanks!
 
If you are happy with the performance of your cams now, then I wouldn't fix what ain't broke.

With the varifocal versions I didn't see an improvement.
