Is the Dahua SD6AE830V-HNI at around $1200 to $1300 one of the better cameras to purchase if you just want a decent 4K PTZ camera, or are there any other brands that have pretty good 4K PTZ cameras at good prices yet? I'm only needing one for daytime use. Just curious if there is anything a little lower in price. (say something in the $600 to $800 range or less)

4K PTZ, there is no cheap ones at all, all >1200usd, maybe can use 4mp one SD59430U-HNI 4mp. @Cameraguy just bought one and works great.

That's what I've been noticing as well. The $1200 Dahua 4K. I can't seem to find any others that are lower priced either.

Anything in the upcoming roadmaps that show 4K PTZ prices coming down anytime soon? (not just Dahua but any manufacturer?)

I notice that viewing 2mp to 4mp streams on large 4k TV's seems to really lack the sharp crisp detail I'm after. Native 4K streams on a 4K TV is pretty amazing but upscaling 1080p and 4mp doesn't always look the best on a 4K TV unfortunately. (for people who just want high rez daytime viewing and use a seperate 5231 for night viewing).

lol, cheap one for 4k PTZ normally junk, waster of money, don't do that please. SD6AL830V-HNI this one newer model price more expensive than the one posted here.

Yep. Saw that one too but it costs even more than the other one. I'm beginning to think the $1200 is the lowest price in the world for a 4K PTZ IP surveillance camera. (one with substantial optical zoom at least).

Yes, use SD6AL230-HNI-IR , this one has very good zoom. 2mp but can work very well. Price 1000usd . If small one required, then do 4mp SD59430u-HNI
