4 camera laview system with 8ch NVR for 299

Picked one up just before Christmas ago. It's 449$ CAD + tax here + 10$ shipping. It's on sale again for 459 with free shipping .

These are 7608 nvrs if I'm not mistaken which is worth 300-350 already.

Not sure if laview is same company as LTS, but on the outside box, it shows these were shipped from china to LTS Inc

Nice find @fenderman ..I've been talking to you about an optiplex / hikvision/ BI setup but if this is quality stuff it's the same price as the optiplex alone and may fit my needs. Any idea which hikvision model these cams likely are?

They are not a direct copy of any hikvision sold as hikvision..but they are similar to the 2032..They will actually have better low light performance than the 2032 because these are 1080p vs 3mp.

Thanks. I'm thinking about buying 2 of these setups. The cams individually are $125+ so $500 for 4 cameras. I could buy this entire kit and have 4 backup cams and NVR for much less than the camera's alone would cost.

Looks like the deal is over.

Ahh that sucks. I ordered one, should've ordered the spare at the same time. Oh well shouldn't be greedy I guess.

It's kind of back, $399 now.

So is this a decent system for a home? I have been contemplating it the last few days.. I was bummed when i seen it went out of stock but now that is back in .. Just unsure about the quality of this system. Worth jumping on? or is the money better spend elsewhere?

If @fenderman posts it, I'm sure it's solid. I don't think you can beat it for the price, even at $399.

Even 599 for 6 is a good price if these are worth 100 +/- per cam but 299 does makes me feel special

FedEx just dropped mine off and I have to say this is some of the best packaging I've ever seen. Cameras feel extremely solid, everything looks great.

Anyone have any suggestions for a wireless camera to work with this? i just need one for inside the house and do not want to attempt to run any wiring.

The NVR looks identical to the Hikvision DS-7608NI-E2/8P on the inside. Has anybody successfully flashed the Hikvision firmware onto the LaView NVR?

so how do you actually export any video from this nvr? my issue is if i try to export something i have to unplug the mouse to put in a thumb drive and then i am unable to control anything because my remote does not seem to do a whole lot .
