Thought I'd just post my thoughts after upgrading to 32gb ram. Previously I had very high cpu usage. After posting my issues on here I had a few recommendations. The extra ram has certainly gone a long way to providing a stable system and the CPU is now around 20%.

My system is..

6 cams 5mp
1 2mp division ptz

Intel i7 7700
32gb ram
120gb said
8tb hd

Not as much as I'd of thought. 4.8gb. Ram is pretty cheap nowadays so a worthwhile upgrade. But the general overall cpu has gone down a fair bit.

What was your ram capacity before? Do you know if you had your ram in dual channel configuration before the upgrade?
