2CD2132F mail alerts issue

Hi all,

Getting to know my newly acquired DS-2CD2132F-I.

I've a few things to work through, but have one issue I cannot figure out and that is why I am not getting email notifications for events.

I have email settings configured and when using the test button, I recieve the emails. So SMTP, DNS all good (right?).

On events (motion detection) I have send email checked and saved.

I am getting motion events as I have recordings to play back, just not one single email alert. They're not in junk or spam, I am not getting any at all.

I started on firmware 5.3.0 build 150513 and am now on build 150814 but still the same issue.

Can anyone share a suggestion or two?

While my motion detection alarm events continue to fail to send me email alerts (although oddly I did get one), I have discovered that intrusion detection email alerts work as expected.
