Hi,
I've just picked up a new Hikvision Acusense NVR and realised that I can house two HDDs. Previously, I've only ever had the ability to use 1. Is it better for me to have 2x2TB drives installed or 1x4TB drive?
Which will give the best performance and why?
Part of me worries that the 2 disks will be louder and run hotter, which is an issue for me. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Personally I am a fan of more is better - then if one dies, you don't lose everything and you still get partial coverage. Lot's of thoughts on what to do - some will have one drive for a few cameras and thus longer storage, others will ensure that they have a good split between the two drives, etc.

Does it max out at only 4tb regardless? Absolutely install two drives at the most storage it'll take, if you can afford it. The drives don't make the noise. The fans do that.
