I like harbor freight for alot of things. But, I bought spade bits one time, and as soon as I started drilling into wood, they twisted on me so I threw them all in the garbage. I bought UNI bits one time, and still have them and they work great.

I like HF when stuff is on sale in their flyer, for dumb hardware / hand tools. I haven't had good luck or been impressed with some of the powered hand tools. But I've bought plenty of spares of this and that since it is tough to fly with tools. Even if some stuff is more of disposable nature. Really need to verify in store if something is worth buying, because some things are quite meh.

Oh, don't buy chisels there, as dull as a screw driver almost.
