VPN discussions on here remind me a lot of which motor oil is better.... I think I read in wiki that the vpn is free? others tell me that you have to pay for good ones. :idk:

    One site page covers all?

so when I disconnect from 2g wifi and select the 5g I enter in the password and it sits for a few seconds then the enter password screen pops up again with the password still in the box. I am 100% it is the correct password. but not giving an error or anything.

Not sure what ssid and key are. Im guessing network name and password, those are correct. wan-upnp was on, now off telnet and web access were both off. Do you recommend me doing the DDNS thing?

    One site page covers all?

The first thing that comes to mind is I cannot log into the 5g band on the router. Everything in the house is on the 2.4 band which isn't a deal breaker because everything works good. But I live in the country and only have satellite internet so advertised speed is 10mbps but I've never seen...

Viewing NVR on tvs through out house

So I would need to mount modulator in attic next to the antenna splitter and run another cat6 using hdmi extender to get nvr signal to modulator.

Viewing NVR on tvs through out house

Now that im thinking about it I do kind of like the idea of having a separate veiwing panel all together. Maybe like a big iPad or something like that to set by chair or something. So i could watch tv and quickly glance at cameras whenever

Viewing NVR on tvs through out house

I’m using a Lorex nvr not sure hikvision would work. Also I’d rather not deal with an app. Seams like it would be easier to switch inputs on tv vs going to an app and waiting for things to do whatever they have to do in order to show feed. Honestly I’m fine with the nvr view (9 boxes showing my...

Viewing NVR on tvs through out house

My current installation in progress is a single 4k NVR and 4K tv in a central closet in my house. I want to view the nvr on 3 possibly 4 wall hung tv's (not 4k but maybe someday) through out house. I have already ran cat6 to all the tv's and my thought process was beings all the tv's are smart...

Road Rage Incident results in shooting death

God bless the USA. No where else I'd rather be. There are over 330 million people here and unfortunately that number contains a few idiots that need to be shot. :idk:

Looking for opinions on Laview kit

Thats the price I was able to purchase the above kit for. Yes I could purchase the starlights but still would need a NVR or computer with B.I and then would still only have 3 cameras. all I need to be able to do is ID someone 15-20 foot from the camera. My property is well lit at night but to be...

Looking for opinions on Laview kit

Thank you all for the input. I ended up purchasing this kit at a price point that I could not pass up on. Once I get everything set up and working (if it works) I will try to get some pictures posted. The deciding factor was pretty much that I already have a monitored home alarm and every...

Looking for opinions on Laview kit

I found that to be odd as well Mat. However I did verify that the cameras in the kit for sale are the 4mp versions. My functional requirements are mostly around my my house mounting the cameras under the overhang. I really just need to see whats going on about 20 foot away from camera. The...

Looking for opinions on Laview kit

I can purchase a 2 year warranty through the pawnshop for 90 bucks. If everything is new in box I cant see why it wouldn't work. I was trying to piece together a dahua system with 4 varifocal cameras and a NVR from andy. I was at roughly 1200 bucks. in my mind this this seems like a calculated...

Looking for opinions on Laview kit

I have found this kit at a local pawn shop and its all new in box. They are asking 850 bucks for it. I am leaning towards buying it but im not real sure about the NVR performance. I called and asked laview about the bitrate because I couldn't find any specs anywhere on their web page about it...

    Hello, and thanks in advance.

Went ahead and shot Andy an email to see what he can do on a NVR and a few or 4 varifocal turrets. Looking at the spots I want to add cameras around my house I will not benefit from crazy wide FOV cameras. And it seems all fixed lens cameras are 100 degree plus damn near. Only thing is the...

    Hello, and thanks in advance.

Thanks for the direction And suggestions, it helps. I just finished walking around my house and it’s really quite bright for the most part, a lot brighter than I thought Previously. Now I sit and read. Also I am attaching a picture of the cable I plan to pull for cameras, TVs, and whatever else...

    Hello, and thanks in advance.

Your absolutely right, thanks for whipping me into shape. I guess what I meant by not wanting to learn new things was basically referring to blue iris and not taking the time needed to become a network master. Hence the reason I was/ am trying to go with a kit type of system (same brand NVR as...

    Hello, and thanks in advance.

I followed mat2000 from slick deals here. I have 1000 foot of cat6 that is about to magically install itself throughout my house and to an undetermined amount of camera locations. I will try not to ask the same ole which camera for me questions but not gonna make any promises. What I know...
