    Darkfighter Suggestions

We've just put in a large installation (24 camera) primarily using the DS-2CD2125FWD-I using the 2.8mm version 1920 × 1080 @30fps and are very pleased with the results on resolution and so far sturdy build. When you say facial recognition, as in being able to use as evidence to Police or using...

    DS-2CD2125FWD-I power fault

Literally the moment I've posted this I've had a further update "...Coincidentally, as you email response came through I moved the camera to another source (a 77series NVR) and sure enough I see the IR lights start flickering, I now move it back to the POE switch on our test bay, where it has...

    DS-2CD2125FWD-I power fault

Hi folks, So I've just installed a large setup all Hikvision, mainly using DS-2CD2125FWD-I cameras. All powered from PoE either from the back of the NVR (DS-7732NI-K4/16P) or via a separate PoE switch to add more than 16 cameras to the setup. All worked great for a week, then one went off...

Hikvision DS-7732NI-K4/16P IP cameras remote viewing

AHA! That's it. So if I create a new user, now all cameras are registered/working, the new user has full access. So, I've deleted the original users (excluding admin) and re-added them, they now can access all cameras. Must be some bug in the software when adding users and permissions in there.

Hikvision DS-7732NI-K4/16P IP cameras remote viewing

Thanks for the input Alastair, certainly an interesting suggestion, but alas no this hasn't solved it. Logging into one of the additional camera web interfaces, only the "admin" user was in the local user table, so I added my own user with same password and full privileges. Still no live view/no...

Hikvision DS-7732NI-K4/16P IP cameras remote viewing

FOUND IT! But not really solved. So, we login using our own login accounts to the NVR (Not the admin account), and it seems this is the issue. The mobile app (ivms-4500) gave a clue as it shows "no permission" on these extra IP cameras. Logging in with the admin user and it streams them fine, no...

    Hikvision DS-7732NI-K4/16P NVR 17+ cameras

Thanks Alastair, I had a feeling that might be the case, bit of an odd bit of programming on their part really! It begs the question of my other post in the forum, how to stream those 'external' IP cameras. (Hikvision DS-7732NI-K4/16P IP cameras remote viewing) Thanks for the quick reply :)

Hikvision DS-7732NI-K4/16P IP cameras remote viewing

Sort of related to another thread but probably worth it's own! Hikvision DS-7732NI-K4/16P and lots of DS-2CD2125FWD-I cameras. Hikvision LAN is setup on 192.168.1.0/24 subnet with the desktop PCs, etc, on the LAN, setup port forwarding on the public router to reach it remotely. Several cameras...

    Hikvision DS-7732NI-K4/16P NVR 17+ cameras

Hi all, I'm having a right time with a new Hikvision DS-7732NI-K4/16P NVR and I'm struggling to solve this one in a way I like. User has 20 cameras, all POE Hikvision which I've installed. Plug each one-by-one into the 16 port POE switch on back of the NVR, so it does it's auto setup...
