I have the cameras connected to the NVR and everything is working. The next step is to start running Ethernet cables and install the 4GB drive.
Now I need to figure out what to do with the audio in and out connections.

I'm actually surprised you found an ethernet adapter that gives a 1:1 on both ports. That would never be used in an Ethernet setting.
What you have actually done is introduce a tap on the ethernet tx and rx pairs which will introduce noise.

If you are not getting power out of the TL-POE10R either it is defective or you're not getting power to it.
I think you are confusing an Ethetnet cable splitter with a Power Over Ethernet splitter. They are not the same and are not used the same. Neither do they have the same name.

The easiest way is to set up a separate router using 192.168.3.x then set it to connect to 192.168.2.1. That keeps all your cameras and video recorder on 192 168.3.x and allows you to connect to the server which will capture the feeds from the cameras.
Cameras and NVR arrived today in excellent condition. Everything is unpacked and waiting for me. I worked on landscaping today and I am just to tired to play.
