BI HTTPS with Nginx Reverse Proxy

Both BI phone apps (iPhone and Android) have the option to turn https on, but as of my last attempt to get it working with a reverse proxy it was not working. I believe it was coded to work when you use STunnel though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    To virtualize BI or not?

I currently run my BI server on Win10 Pro with Hyper-V running. BI is on the base OS and gets the use of the Intel Sync and runs great. With what CPU and ram I have left I allocate to some Linux servers and test machines running within Hyperv. I agree with the others that running BI on pure...

BI HTTPS with Nginx Reverse Proxy

I just setup a new Windows Hyper-v server in the house for my Plex tasks and the sorts. Part of this install was to get a reverse proxy using SSL/TLS certificates up and working with Nginx. Everything went so well that I decided to throw in access for my Blue Iris setup running on a separate...

Almost looks like it is going through a reverse proxy and the path is getting passed in an odd way. Have not seen this myself either.

I am in for the challenge. See where it can be taken I guess. Not sure how much help I will be on the coding side, but I can certainly pitch in on graphics and such.

Different settings to the Hik cams at sunrise/sunset using Blue Iris event schedule

Re: Different settings to the Hik cams at sunrise/sunset using Blue Iris event schedu Ohh I see, are you trying to put the curl -T in the command line? That line is text that needs to be added to the bat file. Try reading the directions once more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Motion sensor to control 24" monitor?

You are sorting heading towards something like @nayr is putting together with his RasPipC project for the Pi. I think he is going to implement something like that when a feed gets triggers it turns on the monitor.

Motion sensor to control 24" monitor?

There are plenty of options for hardware that can turn a device on/off, but unless you are willing to spend some money on a home automation hub or server, WeMo is the least expensive way to go that I know of. And using the IFTTT recipe, you can do all sorts of things with WeMo -...

Zoom in Mask / Hot Spot Setup

I guess I haven't placed much efforts in getting something exact on my setup. I draw the demarcation line using the mouse as close as possible to what I am looking for then use the box feature to fill in the bulk of the area. There is no way to zoom in on the static image when creating the mask...

If you are doing something different than the dev says to do you may be breaking a reference in the new code. Why don't you place the files in the www folder? @bp2008 doesn't make any changes to the BI www files, just adding to them I believe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sometimes this happens with an update and most of the time can be fixed by placing the update files into the directory once more and over riding the previous ones.

Just FYI channel 10 really isn't all that good to be on. It overlaps with other channels. Try 1, 6 or 11 to ensure the least amount of overlap with other channels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Adding 2nd camera practically kills first

You didn't mention what frame rate or bitrate you are running on those cams. I would guess you are running into a bottleneck with wifi. If you adjust the frame rate to 10-15 fps and set the bitrate to 2048 or lower, you might help the problem. I would go as low on both of these settings as you...

    cpu usage with BI

Another thing that is commonly recommended around here is lowering your FPS to something like 10-15. You probably won't notice much difference on your end, but the CPU will appreciate it very much.

    Remote Access failing but...

I believe that BI attempts to open your router port via UPnP and if it isn't able to, it fails setup. I could be wrong but it would explain why your wizard fails yet you still have access remote. In any case, you originally had a problem because your IP changed which has nothing to do with BI...

    Replacement for Blue Iris

I do not use the combine and cut feature. Each clip is it's own file on my system. I haven't noticed any problems with it to date. And for the record, I have over 16,000 files just for BI over a near 2 week period.
