When your in UI3 right click on a camera and select group settings, then set show camera names to force off. This will only make the change on that system for as long as the cookie lasts. But it doesn't remove camera names in the main BI application.
@bp2008
Hey aside from the issue earlier I've been having to stay with the version 5.3.7.13 since there is a feature that was remove in the newer version.
On UI3 with the version 5.3.7.13 when you click the delete clip it takes you to the next clip automatically and you can click the delete...
I did everything possible, even factory reset the firetv still did not work.
And its really weird since ui3 works flawlessly even on safari. tested on chrome a edge too they are working fine.
Can someone else that has a FireTv 4K with the latest update, confirm its either working alright or not?
UI3 was working flawlessly on the Amazon FireTv Silk browser until a few days ago, the icons of play, next, resolution gear, arrows are all not displaying, is there anything that may have cause this, or any fix available?
I just installed a GPU that i had lying around and connected my monitor to it, as suggested by bp2008. This really fixed all the problems, plus lowered the cpu usage even more.
I now can have:
All cams including the 4k's at 30fps with an I-Frame interval of 30/1.
Limit live preview rate...
All the 4K cams are set to H.265 compression. Maybe i should try H.264?
What is strange, is that when i did a 15FPS 30 I-Frame interval on the 4k cams it was still choppy. ( vs. 30FPS and 60 I-Frames)
The continuous direct to disk cloned cams have a schedule override and are active 24/7, so that when i have to be there doing work i can put my profile to inactive (disables my cloned motion detection cams and alerts), but still have them recording just in case. I only go to this recordings if...
My current LG monitor is 4k 60Hz capable and my CPU intel i5 9600K is also capable to render 4K video.
I tried un-checking rate limit (my cpu gets in the 90's), but still it did not help with the 4k cams choppy streaming.
It affects my live view + recordings as well. Having the rate limit 15FPS...
Update:
1) I tried to record at 15 fps and an I-Frame of 15 fps as suggested, but it got a little worst.
2) I was carefully watching the live view and recordings of all cams and after further inspection only the Amcrest 4k look choppy. My other 2mp cams are streaming fine.
3) What i did is...
1) The video is choppy during live view and playback.
2) I have all cameras cloned, so that one feed is on motion(clone master) and one is continuous recording (this feed is hidden).
3) It is choppy even on old video. (will post sample)
The video seem's choppy compared to the live view of the...
It is choppy when displaying one camera (live stream full screen). Also when viewing all cams small in the BI GUI
Streaming BI GUI on the PC.
Limit decoding is un-checked on all cameras.
Limit live preview rate is 15fps.
All cams are set to 30fps on it's settings web page and on BI video tab.
While viewing through the camera http web access, the live stream is fluid, but in BI the stream is choppy, seem's missing frames. (Might this also be affecting the motion detection?).
Currently running a 15 cam surveillance setup in BI. All cams are connected to a Netgear GS116PP poe switch...
Hi,
I'm currently using Sentry on my BI. I have the alerts set to send an email and run a scrip (program). I'm receiving on my email motion alerts as well as human activity alerts, also the script runs when motion and human activity is triggered.
I would like for Sentry screening to only send...
Great info, i think i'm sticking with the 9900K for now. the trade off between extra cores vs power consumption for a negligible difference is a major drawback!
I'm currently planning on a new PC build for my camera system and want to know the hierarchy of the following processor aspects (cores, threads, base frequency) for performance in a surveillance system (especially with 4k cams).
Considering the following Intel cpu's:
1- Intel core i9-9900KS (8...
Ok, will check the HP EX950 out, thanks for the tip!
I have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB installed on my PC currently, but seem's to be doing nothing. how can i get it to work with the Intel UHD graphics to share the workload and keep stress off the cpu?
I finally managed to reduce my cpu usage to 50%, by fixing the cloned camera streams and using the sub stream suggested above, which btw is working surprisingly very good! Thanks.
I have my scaling set to fast.
However, i'm planning on adding 6 more 4k cams, so will see how it performs...
