Hmm, now that I read my own post maybe the NVR ports put out Mode B PoE, and the cameras can take either A or B? Quick fix may be throwing in a PoE injector (Mode A) in between the NVR port and the camera. **I should have mentioned that replacing this cable is near impossible.

Thanks, but "Upload to FTP/memory card/NAS" is for pictures, not video. I already cycled the plugin. Hikvision support has sent this SI up the chain. I'll update with their response once I get one.

I'm going back and fourth with Hikvision support right now (email). They are getting me to remove and replace plugin etc.. But nothing is 'fixing' this so far. I'm pretty sure it's a huge oversight or a new way to limit features in these express line cameras. I'll upload some comparison...

I just changed mine to "Motion | Alarm", which I believe is motion OR alarm. Obviously a "Motion | Event" option would be logical I would think...but no. I also find the delay between getting an alarm on your phone, to when you can begin watching the clip frustrating. I've changed my thinking...

I agree. But surprisingly the WiFi camera works great on its own. I am just having issues hitting the NVR. Or the camera THROUGH the NVR. I can watch the live feed over LTE from the camera no problem. So it's a strange one...

My setup is in the attached image. When I am on the computer attached to the Netgear router, I can access the wireless camera web gui fine. When I try to connect to the NVR web gui, it is VERY slow, Live View doesn't work. Can't seem to setup any smart events due to no video preview...

One more thing. The Hik-connect app does seem to get the alarms, but I have to open the app and refresh the alarms to see them. Where the ezviz is sending a push.

I am having this same frustration. I want smart events to work. Now I have 3 apps, (4500, hik-connect, ezviz). Seems the ezviz app is sending through push notifications. Did you ever get your system sorted?

I am only familiar with Hikvision, but I know when I lowered the resolution the bit rate didn't move. I have to move the bit rate manually.

I am going to login to this system in the next few days and I'll take not of all settings now. (and what it was before). I THINK all I changed was the resolution and then it started working, but this doesn't really jive with that bp2008 is saying. I will get back soon.

I did. It was setup hardwired. So the camera only had the one wireless hop. I will avoid wireless cameras at all costs, but this one there was no other option unfortunately.

So it turns out the only problem was the camera was set at too high of a resolution. I turned it down to 1080p and everything started flowing. I am guessing that the higher resolution it was on (can't remember what it was now) is only intended when the camera is hard-wired?? The 2.4Ghz...

I will also give this a try if my networking setup changes don't work. Is this common? Seems like 1500 is the stock standard when I google it?
