    Deep Stack Storage location?

Thank you for the reply. I'll take a look and see what I can figure out. I might to a fresh install and see if it helps. I'll report back. Marcelo

    Deep Stack Storage location?

I have Blue Iris set up to move clips to a separate hard drive. it worked very well until I added Deep Stack to the mix. Deep Stack quickly filled my main drive and I don't know how to set it up to periodically clean up and delete files and/or move files to another drive. Can anyone point me...

    Filter Alerts by DeepStack Object

I guess I read it wrong. I have it set up that way. That's how it was designed from the time DeepStack was integrated into BI. I saw the "filter alert by type" as a subsequent update. I thought once you had a list of filtered alerts, you'd be able to filter it further. For example display only...

    Hard Drive Replacement

Thanks! One more question. I "selected all" the clips for one particular camera and I went to right-click but instead of selecting "Delete" I accidently locked over 10K clips. Now when I select all again and try to un-protect, either nothing happens or BI crashes. Can I delete the files directly...

    Filter Alerts by DeepStack Object

I can't seem to figure out how to use this feature. I can't find it anywhere and the help file isn't getting updated as fast as the features. Anyone had any luck?

    Hard Drive Replacement

I just got a new hard drive. My current set up has Blue Iris installed on the main drive (same as where Win10 is installed) and all of my storage is on a separate drive. If I'm only replacing the storage drive, will it just be "plug and play" if I keep the folder structure exactly the same...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I'm glad Blue Iris now supports Deepstack AI natively. I just installed Deepstack, changed the AI settings in Blue Iris and I had AI with facial recognition working in 10 minutes.

Thanks. substream was set up correctly within the camera. I finally figured it out. See my edited post above. Thanks for the reply!

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

Has anyone had any luck with the Foscam substream settings? I can't get it to work. When I enter anything in the substream box then check the video settings tab, it shows as BI getting the stream from the substream, but with the same resolution as the main stream. This is driving me crazy. It...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

Thank you!!! I didn't delete it, but I added the same camera again from scratch and this time Blue Iris saw it as a Generic/ONVIF. Before it had recognized it as a Dahua. I then just changed the settings from Dahua to generic and used the new path so I didn't have to tweak all of the other...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

Hi all, I've read through the thread and I've been able to access the sub stream for 3 out of 5 cameras. I'm not having any luck with my 2 Dahuas. Can anyone help? I changed the "0" to a "1" on the stream type and when I go to the camera properties, it shows that it's getting a sub stream...

    Dahua IPC-HFW1831EP questions

@looney2ns Thanks. I'll play with those settings. Same question for you: Do you know if changing lens is something that can be done without buying another camera? If so, any idea where I can source a 4mm lens?

    Dahua IPC-HFW1831EP questions

Thanks! @awsum140 do you know if it's possible to replace the lens on a Dahua camera without buying a new camera? I leave the lights on at night (LED bulbs) so the camera never switches to night mode. At the end of the driveway, most of the light is provided by the street lights and I can't...

    Dahua IPC-HFW1831EP questions

I recently bought a Dahua IPC-HFW1831EP from Andy to replace an SV3C camera. Overall I'm very happy with it, but I wonder if there's anything that can be done to make it better. I attached day and night screen shots from it. The camera is mounted about 35 feet away from the subjects on the...

    Exclamation Point Next To Camera

OK, I'll add something to a month old thread to maybe help someone..... I was having the same issue. Yellow exclamation point. I looked at the help file, searched here. Found lots of answers regarding mismatched frame rates at the camera settings and Blue Iris. I double checked every setting...

    Field of view calculation

I'm considering buying this camera from Andy: IPC-HFW1831E It'll be replacing an SV3C. With the new camera, I have a choice of ordering with a 2.8, 4, or 6 mm lens. My question is, how do I know which lens to order with to maintain the field of view I currently have? The sv3c is a 4mp but I'm...

Could I set up alarm "away" to activate inside cameras?

@tangent I'm trying to accomplish the exact same thing, but I use Blue Iris. My alarm system sends me status notifications via email. Is there a way to set up Blue Iris to activate a profile when my alarm system sends me an email? I wish Bule Iris could receive an email to activate certain...

Blue Iris and Alarm system integration

I have a Honeywell security system (uses totalconnect2) that can email me status and alerts. I would like to configure Blue Iris to only activate my indoor cameras only when my system is armed in "away" mode. Any ideas how to accomplish that? Thanks in advance.

Security system events and email alerts convert to http commands trigger cameras

Any luck? I also use totalconnect2 service. What I'm trying to do is to customize BI to only activate my indoor cameras when my system is armed to "away". Any input is greatly appreciated.

Any backup to prevent system crash when on vacation?

Any backup to prevent system crash when on vacation?

I have not had much success with the phone app, so I wouldn't trust that just because you can't log in on the app it means your system crashed. I don't have any issues with BI crashing, but on occasion, I've had windows itself crash or reboot. What I do before going out of town for a while is...

Switching from WiFi to wired, can someone help?

Switching from WiFi to wired, can someone help?

@fenderman Thank you for the info. I'm only connecting cameras. Any reason I'd benefit from a managed switch? @Philip Gonzales Thanks. I like the idea, but I'm not sure how that'd survive an outdoor install.

Switching from WiFi to wired, can someone help?

@fenderman thanks for the reply. My current cameras do not support, but I think I'll go that way and use PoE for the new cameras, and eventually switch them to all PoE. I didn't realize that the PoE switch was that easy to set up. Thanks again.
