How to limit size of video clips

@Flintstone61 This is perfect - I can just move the triangles left and right and trim the video right in BI, then export. Thanks!

How to limit size of video clips

I was only looking at the general settings, but as you said, I went into the individual camera settings and see the time/gb limit, so I can adjust that and it should take care of my issue! Longer term I should probably get a better video editing tool, but this should work in the meantime...

How to limit size of video clips

Hi. The issue I'm having is Blue Iris stores up to 4 gb for each video clip. When I export that to an mp4 format, it exports fine, but the software I'm using to edit/trim the videos (Windows Photos), only opens about 5 minutes of each clip and cuts off the remaining. So, I either need to find...

    EPoe Build for Wildlife

I had thought the Dahua epov switch and cameras were meant for distances up to 800 meters. Does that require different cabling besides ethernet - I think someone below mentioned RG6?

    EPoe Build for Wildlife

It's wooded, so no line of sight.

    EPoe Build for Wildlife

Hi. I'm wanting to put some camera in the woods temporarily to monitor wildlife. Maximum run would be about 900 feet and would need 2 or 3 cameras. I'd like the cameras to have good night vision, but they don't need to pan/zoom - wide angle would be nice. Since it would be temporary, I'd...

    Cameras not being auto recognized

Hi, I installed three Dahua Eyeball IPC-HDW5231R-Z and at that time, they were all auto recognized by BI when I did a search. At that time I was using an older POE switch that I salvaged from one of my older NVR systems. I swapped out the older POE switch for a new Ubiquiti Unifi 48 port POE...

    Black and White image issue

I changed it to "high" sensitivity and it seemed to correct the issue. Are there any downsides to having on high sensitivity? Any unwanted side effects? Thanks!

    Black and White image issue

Yes all the same firmware. It is a bit of a pain swapping cameras but perhaps I'll try sometime. Isn't a huge issue, but would be nice to figure out. Thanks

    Black and White image issue

Yes, they are all the same as you show above: Day, Auto, Middle, 6S. Thanks

    Black and White image issue

Hi. I installed 4 of the Dahua Eyeball IPC-HDW5231R-Z cameras on my house. Three of them change from black and white images to color images first thing in the morning. One of the cameras takes a lot longer to convert to color, even though it is an area that gets as much or more light exposure...

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

I've installed 3 of the 4 I've purchased so far and am very happy with them. I'm thinking about buying a few more -- has there been any newer models released yet or is IPC-HDW5231R-Z still the latest model? Also do they come in different colors? It is a bit of a pain to paint them. Thanks!

    Advice on New Camera Install

It looks like only PAL is available on the web site. If I'm in the US don't I need NTSC? Thanks

    Advice on New Camera Install

Very helpful advice, thanks! Maybe I'll just place cameras in the lower spots for now, as they are the ones close to doors anyway. The higher corner spots would more be for extra coverage around the property and not as critical. So it sounds like I can't go wrong with the Starlight Turrets...

    Advice on New Camera Install

Hi, My first post here. I tried reading a bunch of the threads before posting but I'm sure I'll be asking something that has already been covered, so I apologize. I am just finishing building a new house (approximately 5500 sq feet over two floors). I had CAT6 prewired to 8 locations on the...
