Thank you, Not what I want to do. I still use Blue Iris for my 5 main cameras that I want to display. Just wish I could also do this with Nvr. Maybe the higher end Nvr`s are capable of this? But I am afraid I will get lost in all the other features.
Thank you, have it working now. Had a cable problem that was slowing everything down. Now I am wondering if anyone has made any "interesting" audio files for these cameras?
Thank you,
Actually both discussions apply. First thing I am looking for is how to set up the camera for autotracking. Not finding any clear directions on this.
After that, I will be looking at how to set up spotter cams.
Thanks
Can someone point me in rite direction of how to configure the tracking to follow people please? I have watched some of the videos, I see face detection, tripwire, etc. But not tracking and following.

Thanks, just what I was thinking. Where I want to put an auto tracking camera. I also have a 12 megapixel higher up on overwatch. So I am hoping this would work for me.
Thank you,
Actually, that is what I was trying to do. But could not make it work. Andy helped me find out to do it.
In NVR right click.. main menu .. select back up... Select camera and set time . Change to mpg then export mp4
Thank you, will try this. Worried about running out of storage space on NVR since I leave the area for up to 2 months at a time. So, only want MD, not 24 hr recording.
What I am concerned with is setting the destination for the event to get it to the NVR? Does that make sense? I have SD card selected on the cameras. Then in storage there is also options for NAS, and FTP. But nothing for NVR. So are you saying by selecting MD in NVR, it will automatically...
Yes, I just use the browser. But, I do not see the settings you talk about in my cameras. I primarily use motion detection to SD card. Want the NVR to record motion detection only also.
Sorry, do not see that under Event on Dahua cameras. What I do see is under Storage, Destination. I have it set for my SD card. But, do I also select NAS for the NVR? But on the - DH-IPC-EBW81242-AS-S2 , I only see local storage listed.
I think I am confused when you say log into camera...
