Thanks was trying all of that but I noticed that in QVR Pro camera settings it was using about 4Mbps , i reduced down to 2048 and 10 fps and now its better, still occasional corruption but less. If i went to a lower resolution that cured it. But rather have the resolution and the occasional glitch.

In the image menu there is a scene type pulldown menu for daylight , low light ,etc you can adjust them accordingly. Then the way I did it was to create a month schedule and change between daylight and then low light during ours of daylight and night.

Thanks for the info. The synology surveillance station looks more involved than QVR on my QNAP. So is also that detection done in synology setup and not using the built in Hikvision motion detection?

Thanks. The issue with Hik Connect is its using its own motion detection for alerts. If i disable it then i`m not getting any human alerts from the camera. I guess i could try clearing the motion detection area on the app and see if it still lets camera detection alerts come through.

You need the DS-2CD2346G2-ISU/SL version of the camera. Be careful of other versions its the ISU/SL for warning light and voice.

I do have a qnap Nas that records footage but again it's nowhere near as fast or has the convenience of using nest cloud storage.

Never fixed mine, spent hours on it, went out and bought a better quality camera. The hikvision is now a door stop to my study.

The ucam247 seems very good, i havent really touched the motion sensitivity but I have the app set to motion sensor and it seems to ping me reliably when there is any movement. I live in a quiet road and it picks up anyone who walks or drives past that i`ve noticed at least.

The dcs-932l, bought them for £25 each. Quality is only 640x480 but they do the job.

Maybe you should consider D-Link again, I bought these 3 months ago and theyve never disconnected once and easy to setup, and always on wifi. I have 3 of them.
