I'm in a similar boat with a IPC-HFW5231E-Z5E. This FW works on my SD1A203T-GN V2.800.0000000.4.R.R4.383, Build Date: 2019-11-05 Have you tried the older firmware too?

You might search LPR cams in here. My best LPR is a few years old, sure there are better. IPC-HFW5231E-Z5E has 5x zoom. Works OK. n3wb since 2016

Mine does similar, Chrome loads a 4 digit PW, My PW is 12 digits. Password works OK in FireFox.

Andy, Thank you for the PTZ SD1A203T-GN updated FW. It was worth the wait ;-) 1st thing I noticed my browser works to control and setup now.

Andy said it was in an email. I think it probably is compatible since it does connect to my XVR with video for about 30 seconds before it reboots. Just my luck I think ;-) I didn't kill the stream prior to pushing firmware, I didn't read about that until after I borked it ;-)
