Just tested it again, and yes, I can paste the password into the box for logging in. (not sure why I had trouble before) I cannot paste a password into the boxes on the Setup/System/Account/Modify menu page.

Hmm, Firefox is my primary browser, and I could not copy/paste into the password fields. Couldn't do it with Chrome either.

I watched it again a couple of times, I think you are right, just a shadow from some other light source. Whew - that was a head scratcher, and had me turned off from this line of cameras.

Here is a screen shot of the video from looney2ns. There is a vertical line of some kind running through his body, and the left side of him (his right side) is darker, and the right (his left) is lighter. Don't know what would cause that.

Even if the black listing wasn't an issue, the reliability is. I've had to replace 3 Hikvision Mini Domes in the last 4 months due to IR Cut Filter failures resulting in daytime pink images.
