There was a lighning strike nearby which killed some access points, and Dahua NVR. NVR will not power on, and I have atempted a power reset. In cases like this, are the replacement boards that can be purchased, or is it easier to just buy a new NVR?

Dahua junction boxes tend to use a few short hex screws, and a few longer hex screws. I always drop/lose them. Do any of you know the exact sizes of these hex screws? i would like to buy a bunch to keep around.

i wonder if it is 802.3BT compliant? i think that would be the only POE standard that can provide that wattage.

i am having the same issue with an old dahua nvr. i do not think it is a firmware issue, since the last FW update was several years ago. i am guessing internet explorer is the reason it cannot render proper image. i had to smart using smartPSS. if you fixed the problem, i would love to know how...

i have a database setup. face recognition is working fine. i simply need to learn how to config an alarm for a specific person (face). i think the instruction manual @SpacemanSpiff provided will help.

The facial recognition is working. AI is done by the NVR. I am not sure exactly how to set alarm for a certain person (face). It looks like that section of the pdf explains what I need. Thanks.

this dahua model NVR4208-8P-4KS2 is sold/described as, "1U." this nvr is 2.1" and 1U is 1.75". have any of you all rackmounted dahua NVRs? am i missing something because it seems to me the nvr exceeds 1u height limits. thanks for any assistance.

I was helping a friend with her Dahua NVR, and Dahua cam. When logged in directly to the NVR, the screen zoom function works fine. When using SmartPSS, the screen zoom function does not work. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

When using a dahua nvr with poe ports, do i have to enable arp/ping setting? i was not sure if nvr would recognize cams with static ip addresses when using built-in poe on the nvr.

I never bought one. At this point I would probably get a 802.3bt switch, and the power a passthrough Poe switch from it....and then to the cam. The 802.3bt switch would at least provide flexibility to add other devices that have high power draw.

I installed/configured Sighthound ALPR yesterday. On my dashboard, 3 of the sections continuously say, "loading data..." Does this mean the cam is not positioned well, or is it indicative of a config error? I tested the rtsp stream on vlc player. Any assistance is appreciated. Pic attached.

i purchased a DH-IPC-HDW5442TM-AS-LED from andy. i am having issues setting up the people counting. on the cam side, i can draw the rule, and the line. the NVR has some AI capabilities, including people counting, yet when i set this channel on the NVR for people counting, i get a NVR error...

Is the IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M treated as 2 completely separate cameras with 2 different IP addresses? Will this camera show up on a NVR as 2 different channels?
