Best way to capture video at the corner of a building

What is the best way to capture video on multiple sides of a building? In the past I have installed 3 cameras at the corner of a building with either 2.8mm or 3.6mm lenses and captured all 270 degrees worth of area surrounding the corner of the building by placing the cameras with one on one...

    I checked my 5442 and it is a 3 hole. I recently installed a 4K-T and I think it's also a 3 hole.

    PFA122 Stock

Thanks! Don't know how I missed it. I kept getting search results for white models or the PFA121 with the 4 hole pattern. Am I correct in thinking all Empiretech turret cameras are 3 hole?

    PFA122 Stock

Does anyone know where to get the PFA122 junction box in black? I can't seem to find a place that sells anything other than the white model. I have some buildings that have dark siding that would look better if there was a black junction box behind a black camera on top of the dark siding. I...

    Wide vertical angle camera

I recently installed a 5442 varifocal, rotated it 90 degrees, and it worked perfectly for my space. As you can see its right beside the door, yet the space directly beneath and the rest of the entryway is all visible.

Do you have a static IP set on the camera? If so have you set the gateway to your router IP?

What high spec server would you choose for 50 cameras?

I figured out my issue today. Turns out I had to set the hardware decoding on the camera from "default" to "no". For whatever reason I think it was still trying to use the GPU even though it was already disabled in the main settings. However that didn't solve the entire problem. I also...

What high spec server would you choose for 50 cameras?

Yes, this is a Cisco server and it has always been running ESXi so that setting was already set.

I've never had an issue wit BI or any other device. My understanding was that the limit was 500 per day, but I could see how speed triggers it as well. I guess API access would be the only solution to this. That said if you are using Workspace the limits are much higher.

With Gmail you should have 2-factor enabled and be using App passwords. You create a separate password per App and instead of using your Gmail password you use your Gmail email address and the new App password you created. https://security.google.com Works reliably for me, with multiple...

IPC-Color4K-T - lost live view on Cam UI

No, but if it works on a different device its narrowed down to that computer. If that is the case, I would take your least used browser and reinstall it and go from there.

IPC-Color4K-T - lost live view on Cam UI

Well if you get no image, then it shouldn't be the plugin because it works in Chrome without the plugin for me. If its not working on multiple cameras its most likely windows. Do you have another machine you can try it on? I also works on my android phone, and there is definitely no plugin on...

You should still have the exe in your download folder. Try re-installing it.

What high spec server would you choose for 50 cameras?

Yes, I have turned them both off. I found that it makes no difference on my configuration at home where I just have a desktop, but when I turned it on on the system with the Xeon processor, I had all kinds of odd video issues like large blocks, flickering and green screens. I didn't try...

What high spec server would you choose for 50 cameras?

RECOMMEND - It's only a suggestion. Again this is not directly from the developer, and no reason was stated. So you are saying that you cannot produce actual documentation of your claims?

What high spec server would you choose for 50 cameras?

Yes the CPU is roughly 8 years old now. A different server is in the future plans, as I have some other VM's I need to run in this location. The disk access is actually quite good for what it is. The small write throughput is faster than my new M.2 SSD in my desktop so I am confident disk...

I don't care about changing your mind. No that is not what he said. You misinterpret everything. Please point me to the document from the developer stating that I cannot run BI on a VM Please point me to the document from the developer stating that I cannot run BI on a RAID disk Please...

What high spec server would you choose for 50 cameras?

I agree, I turned off Quicksync on my machine at home and it made no difference to the CPU usage. So I left it off. A VM doesn't know what underlying disk hardware there is so there is no reason not to use a raid configuration or what I have used many times is actually a FiberChannel connected...

What high spec server would you choose for 50 cameras?

I don't have a GPU if you were wondering. I did turn off CPAI to see if that was the issue, but with only one camera I don't think that it would be a problem. I have not had time to go back and try again, but remote playback of the clips I took seemed a lot better now that I went from 8...

What high spec server would you choose for 50 cameras?

You were the one putting F bombs in your reply. I was just replying with the same tone you gave me. The 400+ camera setup was not using BI, it was different software, and I am not familiar with BI in a larger setup. Just as you are not familiar with virtualization. I never said the VM was...

What high spec server would you choose for 50 cameras?

Nobody said that virtualization was the issue, that was your assumption. Your also making an assumption that I am running VM's at my house. I am not, only a desktop, no virtualization. If you don't understand the concepts of virtualization I suggest you read up on that first. Its the single...

What high spec server would you choose for 50 cameras?

Yes, that is all done. I had a suggestion on another forum to try changing the camera to h264 instead of h265, but I think just setting the VM to have 24 cores should make the difference. What model CPU do you have? Are you doing any hardware decoding with quicksync? Are you playing back any...

    Wide vertical angle camera

Got it. I see it in the menu Camera - Image - Image - Flip - 90° :thumb: I am guessing a 5442 will be capable of this as long as the resolution is at a compatible size.

    Wide vertical angle camera

Yes, the one in question is a 4:3 capable camera and it's still not enough to cover the area. It's not great at night and has a dome with a broke seal. I'm still thinking time for an upgrade. Is there any camera that someone has that can confirm that the rotate option works? I would be...

    Wide vertical angle camera

Are there any cameras that have, for lack of a better word, taller vertical view? I have one located at my entrance area outside my house. The space is about 7' wide and 8' tall and about 12' deep. I have the current 2.8mm camera placed up in the corner on the wall with the door so that the...
