Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more!

Hey fellas, I know it's been said in the past but I can't seem to find any methods. I am wanting to add wind gust speeds to the overlay on my cameras. was there any way to do this with the current version? it was mentioned on another thread about gust to be added to a future update.

Blocking IMOU (dahua) cameras from accessing internet and calling home.

I was able to set them up on a separate network from a POE switch off the BI machine not attached to the internet. what I did was use Dahau config tool to initialize the camera and manually set the IP address. so far none of the cameras have attempted to reboot. my only issue was with a...

Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more!

I have learned to steer clear of the updates. sometimes things break when otherwise was working fine. you can downgrade to an earlier version. the only reason to update would be if something isn't working properly. always test out the updates on a separate PC, when running network IP...

FPS on main stream showing over what the camera is set to

Thanks. the delay is why I'm messing with this. I have been seeing random delays from when something is happening till when I get the notification. also I see a delay in the live view. I keep a old pc in the house connected to a tv with the web server showing all the time. I can walk...

FPS on main stream showing over what the camera is set to

I can't seem to figure out the Anpviz camera on the low fps. setting it higher, rebooting it and checking cable connections did nothing. lastly I tried just setting it to 10 fps with matching frame intervals and it seems to have brought up the key closer to 1.

FPS on main stream showing over what the camera is set to

Doesn't look like it changed much. Question: when BI takes images and send them to AI for object detection, does it use the sub stream or the main? I see all of the cameras except for the CCTV cameras have the sub stream on par, but the one camera "Front Left" which is the Anpviz has...

FPS on main stream showing over what the camera is set to

Hello all, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post for this kind of issue, Mods please feel free to move if needed. I have been toying around with the cameras FPS/KEY settings trying to get them as close as possible to 15/1.00 in an effort to get the lag or camera delay down to a...

    Two Way Audio Dedicated Speaker?

Hello all, I have been recently looking into a set of doorbell cameras with two way audio for my home. we have two front doors as our house was once a duplex way back in the day. I did find a few that were compatible with BI but I am not sure I want to go this direction. I setup a...

Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more!

Is there a chance that BI Tools can be updated to have the ability to use open-metro.com weather? I have tried setting up the script Chris posted but I cannot get the task scheduler to re-run the script every 15 minutes. It will run once even though it's set to repeat. Updates the first run...

Blocking IMOU (dahua) cameras from accessing internet and calling home.

You should be able to get the streams via RSTP without internet. there are some threads here on various models. there is also some info that can be had from ispyconnect software and their site. iirc their site has a section where you can select the camera model or one similar and it will...

Blocking IMOU (dahua) cameras from accessing internet and calling home.

You can absolutely use a router or switch without using the wan port. but you didn't specify much about your question or in which configuration your were referring to. I was simply sharing some experiences I have came across and some simple things I did to solve them. this thread is on...

Blocking IMOU (dahua) cameras from accessing internet and calling home.

Blackout as in a power outage or internet outage? if internet gose down the cameras and BI continue to operate normally only not having access outside of the lan, your phone app access won't work unless you are on the local lan network. power outage... well you'll need a battery backup...

Blocking IMOU (dahua) cameras from accessing internet and calling home.

as for cameras them selves, the last camera I installed was this one off amazon which is much better than the IMOU cameras, I wish I had found this one before spending all the money on the IMOU cameras in the beginning, but I can't do anything about that part. this camera isn't on the list...

Blocking IMOU (dahua) cameras from accessing internet and calling home.

if you are able to capture the server addresses it attempts to connect to and post a list that would be great. I have adguard home setup on a server within my local network. I can add those servers to my dns block lists for future use. if you have a spare older pc available that can run a...

Blocking IMOU (dahua) cameras from accessing internet and calling home.

I noticed this same behavior with all of the cameras I have regardless if you set the IP to static. it will randomly switch back to it's default IP for phoning home. this is why I reset them all so it doesn't use the wifi, connected them on a separate POE switch without internet access. I...

Thoughts on running CodeProject.AI or Deepstack on remote server or PC for BI

Well I gave it a shot. I installed CodeProject.AI as a docker on my Dell R720 ( running dual Xeon E-2620 cpus) gave the container it's own IP and the respective port number. went into BI on the dedicated PC and changed to local host ip to the ip where the docker was running unchecked...

Thoughts on running CodeProject.AI or Deepstack on remote server or PC for BI

Good morning everyone, I had the thought occur to me about the possibility of running the AI inside a docker container of a remote server within the same network to alleviate some of the load on my current PC running BI. I have TrueNAS Scale running on a Dell R720 server that really doesn't...

    CodeProject AI YOLO differences

First I apologize for the noob question... On the AI services, what the difference is, which is best to use too. I know you can't run both together, it's ether one or the other, but what is the difference between the .NET and the YOLO object detection service in CodeProject AI? do they each...

Face Recognition Doesn't Seem To Work

Hello all, First off I am running Bi ver 5.7.7.2 and CodeProject AI ver 1.6.8. I have BI set to save unknown faces to a folder and it seems to do this very accurately, capturing almost every face in each of my cameras. I went into the AI explorer on the web browser to setup some known...

    BI running on Linux

I wouldn't think if you have the license key there wouldn't be too much difficulty with activation. But the issues are more than likely with digital licenses. the physical license keys can be purchased fairly cheap nowadays. you see lots refurbished PC's where they slap stickers with the keys...

    BI running on Linux

I went back and found were I got the info to start. it's on the linux mint forums titled "Blue Iris Working both Wine and-or Virtual Manager" there is also BI in a docker but I have not attempted it nor do I know how well it's maintained. that also might be work a try, at least in my...

    BI running on Linux

I will need to revisit this soon. I have a PC that has reached it's end of life now that it can't keep up with BI running windows. the VM I was working with was running on a Dell R720 server with plenty of horse power. I stopped toying with it when I couldn't figure out how to get the...

Dedicated PC struggling to keep up with BI with 6 cameras

I also looked up what CPU I can use in the dell. looks like an i7-3770 , k , s , and t variants. found a 3770 on ebay for $35. not sure what kinnd of upgrade that would bring to BI though. I was hoping for better. I will lookup the old asus mobo and see but I think it's the same.

Dedicated PC struggling to keep up with BI with 6 cameras

the thought even occured to me to invest into a new desktop and take my old setup as is i7-2600k 20gb ram dual GTX 760 in sli for the BI pc, but I don't think the 2nd gen i7 would be any better than the 3rd gen i5. though it would only be the difference between an old gaming asus mobo vs the...

Dedicated PC struggling to keep up with BI with 6 cameras

I remember reading that thread when I had HA enabled and had a WTF moment thinking what did I do! after reading though it, I managed to reset Bi back to stock without any cameras to get it back up and running. then using the saved reg files added them back one by one going in and turning HA...
