    No IP FIlter Menu

Yeah, tried Chrome, Edge, Internet Explorer, and Firefox. Setting it back to factory defaults has got around it. I still can't see the IP Filter menu, but it's cleared the filter entries. I suspect it's had the wrong firmware applied, hence me wanting to go back to the older version that's...

    No IP FIlter Menu

Hi I have a couple of Dahua cameras where the IP Filter menu isn't available. This is despite getting a "The IP address of your computer is not in the IP filter addresses" warning when trying to connect from a new computer. So it appears the IP filter is active, even though the menu item is...

    General Camera Questions

That's pretty much sums up my experience with hunting for events on our basic Dahua NVR, and what I like about Milestone after trialing it. Great workflow. The price though... I'll give BI a try next week. Cheers

    General Camera Questions

We're currently only using a basic 16 channel Dahua NVR. If we replace most of the PTZs with fixed cams I think we'll come in under 48, so BI sounds like the next test candidate. Reading our Milestone quote and seeing they charge for each device was a bit frown inducing... Thanks again...

I think we'd be better off with more fixed low-light capable cameras, seeing how we have adequate lighting on site at night The guided PTZ idea looks interesting. I'll look further...

    General Camera Questions

Hi IT guy here, who somehow ended up responsible for our security camera setup. I have read the wiki, and I realize we need more/better cameras. Having said that: We're using a mix of fixed and PTZ Dahua cameras. The PTZs are setup with tours, but we find the Dahua enforced 15 second minimum...

Issues with Milestone XProtect Essential+ and Dahua Cameras

I only ticked the ONVIF box when searching this time. Also, once installed, Milestone lists the driver as ONVIF Conformant Device. it's weird how some people seem to have no issues. I've checked everything I can think of. The firewall's not blocking the other ports, etc ¯\(ツ)/¯

Issues with Milestone XProtect Essential+ and Dahua Cameras

I just had this same exact issue. Turns out it didn't like special characters in the admin password. What I had to do was: Change the ONVIF password to not have special characters Turn off ONVIF auth on the camera Add the camera. After detection, Milestone said configuration was required. I...
