    INTERNATIONAL Firmware link

They have stopped selling them because they are being discontinued … what they told me. My camera firmware lists it as C-R-G3-0 so I thought it was a G3 also. All I know is that the firmware they sent is working as advertised. It has the “ linkage of the light” and it is working ( I know it...

    INTERNATIONAL Firmware link

That version was not allowing the firmware to update. The problem has been fixed thanks to Nelly's Security. They worked to find the latest version for my camera that enabled the "linkage of the light" function and corrected a motion glitch in their current version. The version that they sent...

Does anyone have a link for the Hikvision DS-2CD2347G2-LU "INTERNATIONAL Version" 5.5.160 build 210416 firmware for the discontinued G3 labeled models? All the new firmware links are for the G5 labeled models. Report

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

The newest firmware out for this camera does support the "linkage of the light" for the white light activation with motion and line crossing events. I have been using this on my 2 for about a week now and it works perfectly - except it does not differentiate between night and day. I am using...

    DS-2CD2347G2-LU 6MM

I was under the assumption it is exactly infinity focus after a certain distance. In this case 7.5m. The distance of the the view from the lens to the street lamp is 18.9m and should be in focus. From the Hikvision Data Sheet: Depth Of Focus 2.8 mm, 2.5 m to ∞ 4 mm, 3.5 m to ∞ 6 mm, 7.5 m to ∞...

    DS-2CD2347G2-LU 6MM

Ended up returning the camera after all. It was to replace my 4mm G1 version and was mounted on the same junction box using the same poe cable. What I thought was a bitrate issue has to be something more - like the lens is out of focus or alignment? I posted a pic of both and the G2 6mm is very...

    DS-2CD2347G2-LU 6MM

You also saved a sale as I cancelled my return request. I love my ColorVu cams and really needed this turret in 6mm. Just have to accept the lower bitrate. Also thanks for the link to the 5.5.160 firmware.

Thanks for setting me straight on this. Next time I won't assume a camera upgrade doesn't also include some downgrades and read the specs carefully.

    DS-2CD2347G2-LU 6MM

You are correct the new 4MP G2 versions cap it at 8Mbps. All my 4MP G1 series go to 16Mbps (and that is on the data sheet). Wonder why they cut it in half? My 8MP G2 bullet goes to 16Mbps … I just assumed it would be the same on the next Gen 4MP cams also.

    DS-2CD2347G2-LU 6MM

I purchased one of your new 6mm G2 model ColorVu cameras off of Amazon. The firmware on the box and camera is V5.5.134_200430. I have read all the threads about unstable firmware and rollbacks from Hikvision and this is firmware is one with issues. When testing the camera at my desk the...

    Will NVR DS-7608NI-I2 Support a 8mp camera like DS-2CD2386G2-IU

No. Bandwidth affects the ability of your system to RECORD and STREAM BACK recordings. If you cant see your camera on your monitor in realtime all I can tell you is it's not bandwidth. Why you cant see your camera should be brought up in a different post.

    Will NVR DS-7608NI-I2 Support a 8mp camera like DS-2CD2386G2-IU

You might be able to get away with running all 5 of those cameras on your NVR ... just not at the max settings. Use the calcualtor to try and stay WELL within your 80Mbps spec. That will mean you should use the most efficient codec, lowest recommended max bitrate and probably lower than 30fps...

    Will NVR DS-7608NI-I2 Support a 8mp camera like DS-2CD2386G2-IU

It's not about how many POE plugs you have. I assumed you have 8 per the spec. Bandwidth is not a speed but a data limit. It is the maximum amount of data that can be moved per second. For 4k and 2k cameras I always just use the max of 16Mbps per camera for my calculations(using h.265...

    Will NVR DS-7608NI-I2 Support a 8mp camera like DS-2CD2386G2-IU

If you are going to ADD those cameras to the 3 you have listed under your current system you most likely will have bandwidth issues (3x4MP and 2x8MP). The spec on that model is 80Mbps incoming. The outgoing is much higher but you will probably have issues watching all simultaneously at full res...

EmpireTech Andy sells these. Are the cameras he sells compatible with Hikvision official firmware versions or does he supply his own?

Hikvision how to set up another computer on the same network to see the cameras?

If all that is needed is a "VIEW ONLY" monitor then you may not need a pc at all. My HIK NVR has dual HDMI out and I've been using a HDMI extender over cat5 to watch the live the video feeds from a monitor in the master bedroom. The other HDMI connects to the display at the NVR and both are able...
