    Thank you I do have that screen. I have set up one preset (it doesn't seem to retain the name I gave it. It might be working? I have it testing on a herd of cows in the field - though they aren't cooperating. It might be set up in browser / smartpss - I'm not sure the instruction is crossing...

    It seems I do have auto-tracking - or at least the menu options. The Android app definitely says "not available", whilst Firefox browser is limiting what I can view. Internet Explorer, though, lets me add tracking - though it's not (yet) working....

    Perhaps you have the same firmware that I have, as there's no autotracking on my two cameras. That's by going into the Dahua setup via IP/web browser, and by using the Android app.

    I made the Reolink mistake

    I've learnt the hard way Reolink are quick to offer advice to 'improve' situations, but often make it worse. I've just sent a malfunctioning 423 back, so they can improve for other customers! (continually defaults to factory settings) for a new one - that's gone somewhere out of the way and...

    Ah - From another thread ... My setting under PTZ Tab was Dahua New V5 and I couldn't optically zoom - I can with Dahua New V4.... Shame there doesn't appear to be a switch to allocate optical zoom to the mouse scroll instead of digital. (is there?).

    BI will do digital zoom, but not optical - unless there's a hidden setting I have missing. I run the Reolink app in the background to make adjustments, but otherwise BI controls. ;):clap::lmao:

    Thanks both. Don't get me wrong - I'm not enthralled with Reolink having just had the PTZ replaced under warranty. Two cams from empireandy will replace them in the main role - but I guess some things BI cannot do. I asked about the camouflage because a fox was spooked when it saw the camera...

    Thank you - very interesting set up! Mine's relatively 'simple'; PTZ camera at end of 100 metres + 10 metres CAT6, overlooking a pond. Been working adequately for months; until this week! Fox took one look at camera in its early days and ran away, never to be seen again!

    When the wind blows - I've since discovered the issue was there when it didn't blow! Thank fully I appear to now have a stable situation - live preview through BI set at 1fps works adequately. I really do need to choose my next cameras more carefully......:banghead:

    Thanks Sebastian: When I asked Reolink about the ntp server options I was told I had to give access to the Internet.... Och weel, they'll no doubt go faulty sometime and I can justify suitable replacements....At least I'm getting something on BI.

    Okay... I now know I shouldn't have touched these with a proverbial barge-pole! 1. As I deny Reolink cameras ( 423 ptz & 520 ) access to the Internet ( router block ), the timestamp slowly shifts. The Client software doesn't allow me to point at an ntp server on my BI machine. May I seek...
