    Just verified my cameras and NVR. Same thing - 1 hour is lost. That is just embarrassing! @EMPIRETECANDY can you please report this bug to dahua? We're losing 1h of recording!

    No it does not trigger when I left the zone. I want to start recording when I enter the zone and WHILE in the zone. I thought this is so trivial, it properly recognizes the target and highlights it in green, still the camera does not support such a rule.

    I don't think you can initialize over web. You have to use the "configtool" app from dahua. It works on the L2 network layer so the only requirement is to have it within the same network segment as your camera.

    Nothing wrong, except for your assumption. You have to initialize the camera first with the config tool from dahua.

    Beware users on this forum might be biased towards BI because they sell this software. I'd start with a simple NVR like NVR4xxx-4KS2 for $100 or so.
