@LB-ATL, your post title is "Surely, exporting video events cannot be as hard as I think it is..." My reply? It's not, IMO. And BI's built-in "Help" (the big ? at upper left) answers many questions. Look under "Recording and Clips" => "Trim, Convert, Export"

    RV Type 360 coverage systems

My only insight: be aware IP systems have an inherent delay that woud not be desirable in a system that is to aid in clearances when moving, backing up, etc. This is why current auto camera clearnce/backup cameras are analog and operate on 12VDC. Thet have no perceptible delay.

HELP! Re-configure IP camera IP address.

A POE NVR places the cameras on a private subnet that is supposed to be a different subnet from its LAN; this is intentional to isolate the cameras from the Internet! You should not, and likely won't be able to without making other settings, place the cameras onto the same subnet as the private...

How do I set my gateway eero IP address to 192.168.1.1

Have a PC set to DHCP plugged into the Eero. Open a command window and type in "ipconfig". Note the "gateway IP" address. Open a browser on the PC to that IP address. The Eero's admin login username/password (and possibly its IP address!) should be printed on a label on the bottom or the rear of...

    The official "WTF" thread

Quite of a few of us did, I think. Circa 1952 I used the spring steel hanger pulled out of a glass Christmas tree ornament and stuck that in the old 2 wire ungrounded outlet; no shock since I one-handed it (good move) and it went hot-to-neutral but it burned the piss out of my thumb and...

Can't get BI to connect to Dahua DH-IPC-HDW2449T-s-il

In BI did you put in cam's username, password and cam's IP then click on "Find/Inspect"? Does cam have unique static IP in the same subnet as the BI server assigned?

    PC can’t see the Cameras

Insure a recent Windows update did not change the properties of the BI server's Ethernet interface from "private" to "public". Is it safe to assume that both BI servers and all IP cameras have been assigned unique static IP addresses?

According to the manual here, you can you use the Hikvision Tool SADP to reset the keyboard's password. Go to "2.2 Change Password" in the manual and follow the instructions.

    Dahua Switch question

Assuming those 3 cams have static IP's and are connected to the NVR's LAN, I'd just move them over to the Hikvision (POE?) switch as-is.

IPC-B22IR-ZAS S3 cant find on network

If that's a POE NVR then the NVR places the cams on a private subnet of 10.1.1.X to isolate the cams from the Internet. The NVR's LAN port, not one of its POE ports, should be on the same subnet as your BI server and your router, such as 192.168.X.X and that's where you connect the BI server to...

Analog cams, white non-UV zip ties on black cables, non-existent drip loop........ The cams being analog is actually not really bad, some people prefer them, and sometimes a budget can dicate them also.

Are you saying you either discarded the damaged connector BEFORE noting which wire went to which pin or the wires got pulled out of it? You're more likely to get helpful replies by NOT posting on profile but under IP Cameras.
