Any way to remote access without port forwarding in router?

I just did what you guys suggested. It took 30 minutes, including closing my open port and seting up OpenVPN on my ASUS router, no prior experience! Crazy easy, only confusing part was needing to download an OpenVPN client. It works well. Thanks to the forum for making my network more secure.

    Weird issue after updating

This doesn't resolve my issue, I have motion on and I get yellow borders turning on and off on various cameras. I don't knwo if this indicates some type of issue in my setup or with blueiris. I don't have PTZ turned on, and I think that switching to Gaussian or turning on HD for motion...

    Weird issue after updating

I am experiencing the same thing, I get yellow boxes around several different cameras. Don't have PTZ turned on for any cameras. Just updated to the latest version to make sure that want the issue. Switching ti Gaussian algorithm stops its from happening. Any kind of log file I can check?

    Odd loss of camera feed

Running 4.6.4.6 x64, Intel i7 930 with 7 cameras ranging from a 0.9mp to 3.0mp. CPU runs around 10%. Last night we lost power, but all cameras are on UPS and generator came on line within a minute. Apparently one camera's UPS failed, so it did lose power for a minute or so. Here's the odd...

    Wired & Wireless System info

This is becoming a religious debate. Wired is better, but WiFi can work. I've had it in use for 10 years and never had an issue related to that. Just upgraded one wireless outdoor cam to 3m Amcrest and it's beautiful video, no blips

    Wired & Wireless System info

I have 4 wired and 2 wireless cameras. I have no more issues with wireless than wired. Overall both have been very reliable. Pretty much every issue I've experienced has been either configuration settings (my fault) or Blue Iris bugs (mostly my fault for not waiting on release to be community...

after last few updates cameras are dropping

I did a camera update after it occurred, and I record to SSD so its not that. It definitely coincided with Blue Iris update. Finding the workaround made it not worthwhile to track down the cause. I'm not an expert, but I wanted to share what I did to make it work.

after last few updates cameras are dropping

I've had issues with two wired cameras; frequent "signal restored" errors. Oddly by changing the cameras feed to mpeg4 from H.265 fixes it (but lowers the frame rate). Not a network issue, the cameras are on different switches and no issues with my other cameras. Wasn't an issue until I did...

90% WIFI Signal but Camera Keeps Losing Signal...HELP!

No doubt that you are correct. There is just one advantage to wireless cameras. I'm sure no professional would use one in a permanent way. In my case I can't run cables to the 2 locations where I use wifi without have my reproductive equipment damaged (i.e., my wife will hurt me, badly).

90% WIFI Signal but Camera Keeps Losing Signal...HELP!

I have 2 wifi cameras (Sharx brand) that have worked reliably (in BI) for close to 10 years. My other cameras are wired. I use my cameras with MPEG connections. Other than a bug that was introduced late in BI 3 life (fixed when 4.0 came out), I've had no issues. So its worth fiddling with...

    BI 4.5.8.2 clips not right

I was having the same issue after upgrading to 4.6.2 (from 4.3 i believe). I went through the log file and that lead me to another issue which seems to have resolved this issue. Try Unchecking pull point subscription in blue iris video configuration settings for any camera you're having an...

    Annual support

I signed up for annual support last year but I just don't use it. And I don't do upgrades, since there aren't any changes that are of interest to me. Is there a development plan posted anywhere for this app? On a related note, I tried to cancel my auto-renew for support (I don';t like...

Continuous record low quality with cloned camera

I have a HAD camera by my pool that I record with motion. I've also setup a clone of the Cabrera to record continuously. However it seems to consume a ton of disk space with continuous record. Is there a way to reduce the file size by changing storage settings? It's fine if the video quality drops.

Dell Optiplex 9010 desktop as BI server

I have Windows 10 on an unused hard disk in my current desktop (my active drive in that desktop is an SSD). So could I move that hard drive into the Optiplex, boot it up and reconcile hardware differences, then move the Win 10 OS over to a new SSD in the Optiplex?

I can buy a used 9010 desktop with 16gb of memory for $100 (no hard drive or OK) from my employer. It has an i7-3770 processor. Intel site says it supports Quick Sync video. Does anyone know if this would be a power efficient platform? I've been using a Dell studio desktop which is an older...

Changed short name for one camera, clips gone missing on web
