    5.0.4 - September 16, 2019 - Sentry Alert View

FYSA: I am getting memory leaks with any version of 5.0.4.x. Intel gfx driver has a signature date of 6/27/19 and was not changed (nor was anything else, other than the version of BI). Works fine without any memory leaks when I uninstalled the most current version of 5.0.4.x and reinstalled...

    Hardware acceleration cuts out intermittently

Playback still isn't as good as it looks from the RDP view. I agree, if there was some kind of delay that included a buffer to make the images look better, I'd be ok with that.

    Hardware acceleration cuts out intermittently

I don't have an external address configured, just the local LAN. Same subnet and everything. I have my router set up as a VPN server, so when I open the app on my phone when I'm not on my network, I just initialize a VPN tunnel to the router, and I get access via that route. Figured it was the...

    Hardware acceleration cuts out intermittently

Tried remote management out. The images are so blurry/pixelated to the point where they're pretty much unwatchable (you can't tell an F-150 from a Silverado, just a blob shaped like a pickup truck). Not sure where the bottleneck is. I am only receiving about 50-100kbps down on my remote viewing...

    Hardware acceleration cuts out intermittently

Definitely didn't know you could do this in demo mode. Thank you very much for the info! Will try this out tonight. Not sure what the specs were on Youtube guy's setup, but I'll report back and see how it runs for me. If it works well, I'll just get another license. Thanks again.

    Hardware acceleration cuts out intermittently

I wish there was a way to test it out before buying the second license. I watched a video of it on YouTube and the guy said it was blurry at times. I have the RDP session on my 4k monitor, and it's nice to be able to view footage from my 4k cams in native resolution. Not sure how the Remote...

    i9 9900k tips/tricks/opinions

18 total cams. I recently did a tech refresh and upgraded most of my 2 MP cams with Dahua 4k ones from Andy. Also got 2 Dahua LPR's. I have about 30TB of dedicated usable storage, so there's no reason for me to not use the highest bitrate and framerate that my setup can handle. Should have...

    i9 9900k tips/tricks/opinions

I have a dedicated BI system with a 9900k, pushing 2300+ MP/s. It is a headless system in another room (it would trip the breaker in my office since I have a bunch of other stuff in here on an old 15A circuit, and sounds like a jet taking off, so I can do without the noise) and I have a local...

    Hardware acceleration cuts out intermittently

bp2008, QuickSync is now working with my setup since going from BI4 to BI5. Thanks for the advice. I have noticed, however, that CPU load goes up when I delegate QuickSync to perform decoding functionality per camera. I figured since it was a seperate part of the die, video decode and CPU load...

    Hardware acceleration cuts out intermittently

I see that NVIDIA has a CUDA Toolkit. I might see what that tells me. I wonder if the two video cards just aren't playing nicely with BI in tandem. I don't remember it doing this when I just had the RTX 2060 installed. I'll disable the GT 1030, and max out the video decode capabilities on the...

    Hardware acceleration cuts out intermittently

Upgraded to BI5. The hardware acceleration is still cutting out when the MP/s is over 2000. This isn't really dependent on CPU load. When I increase the framerate on the cameras, the CPU load will still be in the 80% range, but the video decode and CUDA will drop to near nothing on the GPU's...

    Hardware acceleration cuts out intermittently

The issue is coming up every other day or so now. Event viewer is still showing nothing out of the ordinary. I will update to BI5 within the next day or so and report my findings for posterity.

    Hardware acceleration cuts out intermittently

Most current Nvidia drivers are loaded (8/27 release date, per Nvidia). Conveniently enough, the 2060 and 1030 use the same driver, so they play nicely together. I added the 1030 about a month ago and it's been working well in tandem to handle the overflow loads from upgrading cams. Nothing...

    Hardware acceleration cuts out intermittently

I am running a dedicated BI PC (BIv4) with an i-9900k processor, and two NVIDIA cards for hardware accelerated decoding (RTX 2060 for the brunt of the load-mostly 8mp cams, and a GT 1030 for some of the less tasking cams). During the daytime, BI is reporting about 2200 MP/s. I have NVIDIA CUDA...

IPC-HFW1831E - Actual bitrates showing higher than configured

I forgot to mention that as well. I have 17 total cameras up at the moment, with a variety of different mfgs. Hikvision, Amcrest, Foscam, Grandstream, etc. All of them hold steady on the bitrate per BI. The only other ones that don't are the POS Reolink cams that I bought before I knew any...

IPC-HFW1831E - Actual bitrates showing higher than configured

I recently deployed a pair of IPC-HFW1831E's (one 4mm, one 6mm), running the 190404 firmware. I set them to the highest bitrate available (11264kbps) running CBR (see screenshot), but they are lingering between 14000 and 19000 kbps per Blue Iris. Anyone know what could be causing this? Maybe...

New build for 4K cameras. i9-9900K?

Apologies for the brainfart. I have the dedicated BI PC in the other room (trips the circuit breaker in my office room so I had to relocate it and think of another solution) and have a Windows Remote Desktop session up (unrestricted, but displaying at 20FPS). That is about 12% CPU overhead...

New build for 4K cameras. i9-9900K?

My RAID 5 array (Stored) benchmarks at around 150MB/s seq read, whereas the m.2 SSD that I use for new clips benchmarks around 1700 MB/s seq read. The primary m.2 that has the OS and BI DB is doing 3500 MB/s read. Blazing fast. It may not help, but it sure doesn't hurt. I was planning a new...

New build for 4K cameras. i9-9900K?

You will be fine (barely) with that setup. I just built a dedicated IP camera setup with similar specs: Intel 9900k 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 2666mhz Gigabyte z390m gaming motherboard GTX 1060 3GB Intel 660p 1TB m.2 SSD (for new clips/quick access) 3x4TB WD purple in RAID 5 (stored) I am pulling about...
