    The SV3C cameras I have are made by IPCAM as their firmware worked on my SV3C cameras. I'm pretty sure the one I recommended is made by them too.

    That's between you and HIKvision. No idea. I believe I was the first one to updated firmware on my cameras, but my cameras are $50 and not $3500.

    I solved the problem by buying a $40 PC and a $60 BlueIris NVR software and had it integrate with HA. You already found a work around with H.264, so use it.

    I'm cheap, so I bought used routers that are capable of using OpenWRT firmware so I can set them up however I want them to be. For your case, Asus makes some great routers that can be setup as Access Point. RT-AC88U has 8 LAN ports!

    P400, P620, GT 1030, GTX 1050TI all have low profile version and they won't stress out your 250watt power supply. Though, prices for any video cards is high right now due to chip shortage.
