Object detect and reject is not checked. Yes, I am using BI and love it. I will keep adjusting the sensitivity and see if it helps. They definitely cover more area! :) -

They are both up and running. Had them up yesterday. We also put up 2 IR lights near the back camera where we hope to see the most wildlife. it is lit up nicely. The videos and pictures are beautiful! Very crisp and clear, even at night! I am still trying to fine tune some of the settings, but... -

Thank you. Got it downloaded. By the way, my CD Rom on this new computer is a vertical slot with nothing to hold the minis in their slot in the tray. Doesn't work well with minis. The mini CDs fall out most of the time before the tray closes completely and it was a scary moment trying to dig it... -

Can I download the Hikvision tools directly? I can not use mini CDs on my computer and thats all that came with the camera! -

Yea, I understand that I will need to install the SADP tool and give the cameras their own ip addresses,etc. I guess I didn't explain my question well enough. Just wondering if everything else is set to go as far as BI and the way it is/was set up for the other 2 cameras. Can I give these 2...- dlee

So I was all set up with 2 Foscam outdoor cameras. I also purchased the full version of BI and the app for my android phone. After a week of struggling to get everything set up and working, I had everything working flawlessly. I was able to view my cameras everywhere. At home on laptops, away...- dlee

Is this the best these cameras can do?
Glad you mentioned that it can be wall mounted. I was wondering about that because I wanted to mount them in the same place as the current ones are, (On the side of the house) so that's nice to know. The cable run distance to each camera from the router area is only going to be 35-40 feet max... -

We are going to send these Foscams back and go with the suggestions given. :) I like ordering from Amazon but am having a hard time finding a 1.3mp or 2mp Hickvision on there. (Lots of 3mp ones though) Would this one fit our needs... -

Soooo.....of course I have been thinking about shipping these back and trying something better. I have until May 2 to return them. If I did, would you have a wireless recommendation for our needs that would stay in the same price range as the ones you mentioned? Running erthenet cable to these... -

ok, thanks for all the info! Now I am really wishing I would have researched better before i bought those. (Thought I had!) Might have to upgrade in the near future. These aren't going to cut it for night videos and snap shots. I can tell already there is going to be way too many missed... -

fenderman, yes, there is a "IR on" button and a "IR off" button in the camera software program. I can see in the live feed when I shut it off the live shot goes almost completely dark. -

Wow, the example you posted is unbelievable! But now i have purchased these cameras, and we have them mounted to the siding under the eaves (Hubby wasn't thrilled with that part!) and we are stuck with them :( I can shut off the IR on this model. Might have to consider an external light for... -

I have 2 Foscam F18905Ws both outdoors. One monitoring the front of our house and one an area in the back. We mostly got them to see wildlife. (We have a lot of bears, wolves, coyotes, turkeys, deer, etc in our area) I am using Blue Iris and LOVE it! We are happy with the quality of the videos... -

I had been using icam before i got BI. I was deactivating the old ports I was using in my router for icam, and changing the ports in other places to the new port # for BI. I made an incorrect port change along the way someplace. I don't remeber now where exactly, but it had to do with the port...- dlee

P.S. I can still get to the mobile app via Wi-Fi using the external Ip and I can still log in that way, but the cameras are showing the "no signal" error on my phone app when the camera page comes up as well.- dlee

I downloaded the trial version. Had everything up and running using port forwarding. Even set up, tested, and received message alerts, push alerts, and email alerts. All was good and I was very excited about this program. Within a couple hours I went ahead and purchased the registered version...- dlee
