    Doubt it, Longse is probably the biggest not well known camera manufacturer. Nearly every generic looking cctv camera you see is from Longse (or cantonk) Some company... I think.

    That sensor is 1/2.5", not 1/3" of the Hikvision? The fps means nothing, the OV 5mp is capable of up to 30fps but of course it could be restricted for many reasons.

    What do you mean by old style? I highly doubt its the same sensor used in your camera, there's many different 5mp sensors, this is likely a recent one, just not the imx178. Possibly the OV5658 since they're using the OV4689 in their recent 4mp's. Another camera with this sensor...

    Does the image get cropped when you record at 1080p? Here is 2 videos of the imx178 at different resolutions and you can see the image is cropped. Or is it different when changing the nvr recording resolution as opposed to the camera resolution? If that make sense.

    The lack of definition on the sides at night is something I see alot when you're trying to cover a wide open area with not much light. IR leds tend to create a tunnel of light rather than spread out. Blurry left side looks an awful lot like the huisin ptz. Probably caused by the lens.

    For the image over processing issue..instead of reloading the firmware did you try removing power from the camera? I have a similar issue with a hikvision turbo hd, whenever I access the osd menu to change settings, the image goes all strange. Factory reset doesn't fix it, have to pull the power...
