    BlueIris Video playback stuttering

Hello All, I think I have exactly the same problem, and I am using the same camera - IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E I wasn't able to get a short video, but I have 2 snapshots that I think will explain the stuttering problem. This pic shows the car moving straight after the camera is triggered: A few...

    New Firmware for DH-IPC-HDW5442TM-AS

I need to update the firmware for this camera and when I go onto the relevant page on the Dahua site there are 4 options for firmware: https://www.dahuasecurity.com/support/downloadCenter/download-search?keyword=IPC-HDW5442TM-AS Which one do I choose? NP or PN versions? (I am in an area where...

H-IPC-HDW5442TM-AS - Help with "Direct to Disc" recording in Blueiris

I just purchased this camera: https://www.dahuasecurity.com/asset/upload/uploads/soft/20190506/DH-IPC-HDW5442TM-AS.pdf and I must say the picture quality is amazing, especially at night. I've only just started playing with this cam for the last hr or so, and I've run into a problem that someone...

How do you adjust the shutter speed? (I've read your post #18, but which program are you using that is being described?)

    Cooler thief hit neighbors house

I'm relatively new to this stuff, but I'm amazed at the clarity of the number plate when it is zoomed in. I have a Dahua 8MP camera in the driveway and I have never been able to get an image as sharp as what Ive seen in the attached video. Just wondering why?

Blue Iris - Clips and archiving set up help

Guys, Thanks for your replies and I do appreciate your answers. The reason I was contemplating this is because my cameras are on motion detect only and they are not recording all the time, and thats why I thought it was ok.

The SSD is a WD Red NAS type SSD, designed for this type of workload, thats why I'm thinking it should be ok?

Blue Iris - Clips and archiving set up help

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking of swapping out the WD purple HDD with a WD Red 500GB SSD that I have. Would there be any issue in writing all the videos to this second SSD compared to the Purple HDD?

Blue Iris - Clips and archiving set up help

Hi, What is the reason for not using the ssd? I currently have the DB on the c drive SSD and new clips are recording on it as well, Then after a week they are then moved to the WD Purple. All my cameras are set to motion detect so i figured storing the clips initially on the ssd should be ok...

Actual Power Consumption vs CPU Load

(I posted this elsewhere in: https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/blue-iris-and-cpu-consumption-as-it-relates-to-memory-usage.5953/ but it probably makes more sense to post it separately in its own thread here) I'm still new to BI and last night I followed the optimisation steps to try and reduce cpu...

Blue iris and CPU consumption as it relates to memory usage

I'm still new to BI and last night I followed the optimisation steps to try and reduce cpu load. The system I'm using is an i5-6600, 16GB ram, WD purple for storage and a 256GB NVME drive for the system. I've currently only got 3 cameras and they are on motion record. I also have a power...

    Reolink - good & bad

Ok, this hasn't been covered in this thread, but I'll give it a go. I'm a novice with cameras and just recently setup BI. BI was appealing as I'm a bit of a tinkerer when it comes to tech. When i first setup BI, I ended up purchasing a Dahua bullet and worked quite good, albeit quite expensive...

IP Camera Viewer Pro on Roku

Hi, Does anyone use this app on their roku to be able to simply view their cams on the TV? I've been successful in adding a Dahua IP cam to the app, but I'm having difficulty setting up the Reolink - RLC-410-5MP and RLC-520. It mentions something about the onvif stream, but as I'm new to this...
