I plan to add more cameras you can only turn so much off. I liked the overlay you got when you let BI re-code it made for easy backups of an event.
Does the CPU have to have integrated graphics for BI to work? I know dedicated is power hungry.
I'm not looking to lower CPU usage. I have already done what is suggested in the other post lower bitrate, fps and using directly to disc plus intel quick sync. Some of the features suggested to turn off i find very useful and miss that is why i want to know what would help the most more cores...
Topic says all, i have 13 3MP cams on my i5 and needless to say it uses up all my cpu. I'm trying to decide on my next PC build between a 6,8 core i7 vs a quad i7 at a higher clock rate.
Did a search and could not find any sample video from this model, i like that it is small and PTZ but no IR. Is there any other PTZ that are small with IR?
Yeah that looks like the dahua that i already have it's built like a tank. I have two 2.8mm mounted on the sides and they great, i just can't see in front.
There are a few PTZ that are 2.8mm not many though.
I would like to install a IP PTZ camera above the air vent seen here in the pictures. I'm looking for ideas on how to mount it without destroying my garage.
There is 8" of space between the top of the vent and roof. I'm looking to get a dahua or hikvision IP PTZ camera that is 2.8mm.
I want it to shutdown if the power has been off for awhile and the battery back up is getting low and then turn back on once the battery back up is charged to 50% or so. The weather software i use log gets corrupted if shut down without being closed out first.
Do you need to have a shortcut in the start up folder and do the creat a task as shown on another forum before blue iris will auto load? I don't use a log in.
I'm also looking for a way for my computer to shut down when the power goes off. I guess this can be done with my battery back up...
Left my PC alone for a few days to see this message. PC did not reboot or anything it just will not let you do anything until you click on get updates.
ok thanks for the info.....Vector i had already pined out the connector but it would have saved me a lot of time :)
BTW my cable has a short in it now somewhere and it's underground so there's no fixing it. My cable tester says pin 1,2,4 are open.
It was not wrapped in anything. I had it in what i thought was a water tight box instead the box held water so the connector was under water! It's my own fault for not checking on it.
I ended up soldering a CAT5E cable to the cameras exsting cable because the cable was to short to just add a...
Zorac. Do you know if windows 10 pro the defer upgrades option only defers software updates? Searching google it says even if you have defer checked it will still download security updates.
What is that grease like stuff you can put in the connectors to stop moisture?
I might just run a hole new cord from the cameras pcb board would assume it's soldered on.
I'll keep that in mind but i can't find any decent water tight housing that's not massive. Are keystone jacks the only thing available for the female end? Doesn't seem like that would be very good outside in the weather.
BTW do you think the cameras warranty would cover it?
