Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

Just wanted to share something. In the previous post, one of the member set up multiple tripwire withing the intrusion zones. Decided to try it, seem to really improve the performance of my set up. If anybody having problems, they might want to try this idea. Worked for me.

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

I too been having issue with mine. I've noticed since shrinking the intrusion area, the auto tracking works way better. also, slowing down the PTZ speed in the GUI interface to Med. Less merry go arounding with the panning.

Mounting cameras on a satellite stand,

Great! but remember, the roadway is elevated behind my house. Thinking about LPR, will definitely need more zoom. figure about 32 to 64mm. Over all, very happy how it worked out. Lots of traffic behind my house. It's getting very built up here. Everybody escaping from California. Driving up...

New home owner - do I have options?

    B) DRZmaui. - what do you mean keep the camera as low as possible? Ive always had cameras installed about 10' high or wherever the ceiling is and point them kind of down. Can you elaborate on your recommendation? PS I do splice my own cable so I'm good to go there! :) I'll try and send you...

Mounting cameras on a satellite stand,

Thought I share my last project. Might be an idea for someone else. After my last undertaking of updating my security system, found myself with a couple of extra cameras. Thinking how to use my surplus cameras. Reflected about adding some extra coverage for the back of my house. Behind the...

New home owner - do I have options?

Here is some advice, (I’m up to 32 cameras now. Spent loads of time up in the attic crawl space) Expect that you will want to add more cameras later. Consider running additional cat cable for later use. This is the BIGGY! Remember to use only SOLID COPPER CABLE! Made the mistake of running...

    Dahua SD59230HNI Auto track instability

both are new, but I believe that HNR model is newer. Definitely much better. but still I have stationary cameras as back up. The HNI is only about 4 months old, possibly might be new software. Have not had a chance to check.

    Dahua SD59230HNI Auto track instability

auto going left to right, or visa versa, is very difficult for a PTZ to be accurate. fast movement is difficult, esp at close range. Had better luck with my SD49225XA-HNR 2MP, than my SD52C225U-HNI 2MP

Review - Dahua IPC-HFW7442H-Z 4MP Ultra AI Varifocal Bullet Camera

I think my feeble mind is starting to figure this out. To get A.I images of vehicle type, facial recognition, it has to be to a dedicated NVR or on-board memory chip (i.e. Scan Disk). Then you need to go to play back in the GUI interface to access the Images (that is if you set up the camera...

Review - Dahua IPC-HFW7442H-Z 4MP Ultra AI Varifocal Bullet Camera

Review - Dahua IPC-HFW7442H-Z 4MP Ultra AI Varifocal Bullet Camera

I’m wondering if somebody might have some suggestions. I’m having a difficult time setting up A.I. with my camera. Background: I bought the IPC-HFW7442H-Z 4MP with the main reason to record and capture vehicles in my neighborhood. In addition, was trying to see if I could get it to work as an...

    TALK ME OFF THE LEDGE

Not too complicated things, but you might think of placing a hidden camera (i.e. bird house) camera in your hedges facing towards your house. Get some PVC conduit, paint the cameras and outdoor Cat5/6 cable. I have over 30 cameras at my house (yea, fell down the rabbit hole). The one’s that...

Unable to draw rule for intrusion/trip wire for IVS

Really weird. I'm trying to set up the guidelines for intrusion and tripwire with NACL web plug in. Only will connect with the Chrome browser. Been working on the most of the morning. It just will not allow me to "use the mouse to set guides. I can do it on my other cameras, but just not this...
