    That's if you want to use each camera as your ddns. That's not necessary. What if you had 50 cameras? Would you setup a ddns for each one? No, you set up one ddns in your router and you can access all cameras that way.

    Its much easier to setup ONE ddns in your router than each camera individually. For example I have one NOIP account. The ddns is not setup in my camera at all. Much cleaner way to run things

    I have a Chinese hikvision with a firmware that does not record to nas. I can't update because I do not want to brick the camera I am looking at the dahua 4mp dome. I would like to use the builtin firmware to record to nas. Is anyone using this feature and how do you like it?

    subnet was off. Up and running now. Trying the hikvision app for android after setting up DDNS. Does anyone know if I can ddns a camera only without a DVR? THANKS!!

    Sadp has always detected it and allowed me to change the IP. Yes I reset it that way. It reverted the IP to the one it came with. I changed it again but still cant access web interface. I have not tried tftp.
