    Hardware acceleration in Chrome works fine on my home computer and cottage computer, both with Windows 10. My work computer is older, still running Windows 7, with an old Quadro FX 1800 graphics card. I'm getting a 'newer' computer at work with WIN10, hopefully HA works on it.

    Doing it your way, if the 'New' drive fails, you lose all recent footage for all cameras. Splitting it, you lose footage for half your cameras.

    db and alerts on SSD. New on HDD Don't used stored. The alerts folder is always empty, unless you click the box 'store alerts as hi res' which you don't need.

    No. Read the thread again. We remove (shuck) them from the enclosure, and install them as internal drives.

    This gets asked every time. DH firmware will have a Dahua logo on the camera web page. The Generic/general won't.

    It would be helpful if you posted which camera it is. You likely need an injector that is 802.3af (15W) compliant. If it requires 30W instead, you'd need 802.3at.
